What a difference a few players and a system make in that department. I'm now genuinely pissed when they concede on the PK. Not cos it's their fault, just that i know we can/do kill penalties now.

He can't make them! When good players are put out on the ice they win battles and spend time in the other teams zone. Grabs isn't good enough to do that, so now they have an overpaid 3rd line centre. For this year it's okay even good to have him there as he is better than most 3rd line centres, but into the future he simply has to be better to justify the contract.

It's not the stats I watch the games, he's lucky if he has one shift pressuring the other team. Again, I like the guy but long term he has to do more, and his coach after watching it for 2 months finally went to the media to get him going. Maybe it worked - we'll see.

I haven't missed it. Carlyle gives time to players who deserve it, clearly Grabo doesn't deserve it otherwise he would be given 'offensive opportunities'. The fact is I don't care for a guy making the same amount as Phil Kessel but on the 3rd line. And yeah, if you want to be an ass about it, I had no idea coaches don't determine contract value and WOW GM's don't draw up the lines? I'm completely mind boggled. I hope we sign Lapierre as our 4th C in the upcoming offseason. Hopefully he won't cost anymore then 4M, what a bargain for a 4th line C!
