So, if someone tells you nicely it never happened, you'll admit that you're wrong.

But if someone comes out and flat out says you're wrong and it never happened, you won't admit you're wrong and you'll stand by it....even though you're wrong?

All you said was "No"

Offer nothing other then that. Why the hell would I want to respond to that or change my mind on the matter?

and by the way, you're telling said that I want you to prove something that never happened. I take it you are referring to your hockey career?

Makes sense as to why you don't actually understand a lot of the concepts in hockey.

Nice.

Super thrilled they managed 3 points. Cliche, but the next 3 are pretty big, all against teams they should be able to beat, but have always struggled against. Especially Carolina so far this season, and Ottawa just refuses to die. Hope they can go at least 2-1-1 this week.

I'd take it!

I want a fan vote on NHL's website...just like picking players for the All Star game. Then I'll get our computer programmer to create a program for me so I can automatically vote no shootout every second until the end of the voting deadline.

there is one vote that matters

and thats the one the AMERICAN tv network has

they want this type of thing to help market the game

just let it go.. i actually like it personally.. i used to hate games ending in a tie..

Take a look at the standings:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/st...e=con#&navid=nav-stn-conf

About 14-16 games left, and really only 2-4 teams are out of it.

So, while I really enjoy the debate about getting rid of the shootout and 3-point games, I'd prefer we return to the j-bold/fatty-patty debate, because it's probably more relevant.

Shootout: not going anywhere.

Oh...you mean the knuckler.

I had a friend who could throw a nasty knuckler with a slow pitch ball - funny as can be. He played infield and would throw it during a game - I cried watching the reactions of our guys trying to catch it...so funny.

Last night is a perfect example of the beauty of the tie: Leafs go into a tough building, play a sound game, squeek out a point.

Nothing wrong with that.

What would it take to get Jagr and his big ass in a Leafs sweater for the rest of the year?

Josh Johnson will be fun to watch as well. Apparently he's had he A game all spring...throwing smoke right now, striking out almost a batter per inning.

I'm worried about tonight, two decent games against the Bruins----back at home against the sad sack Panthers, this is usually where we poop the bed.

this is where they need to step up and really prove they want to make the playoffs. 2 games in 2 days is not an excuse. better get one quick to get themselves into the game

No issue with the 3 points at all - in fact it's a great motivator in the overtime and I'm all for that. But if that 5 minutes of 4 on 4 overtime is so exciting - which it is, why not add another 5 minutes of 3 on 3 with that same calibre of excitement. Do Americans like the shootout in soccer, or is it just a results oriented decision? My team scored - so I like it.

Anyway - I'm taking your advice and dropping it.. I'm done with it. But I'm not as sure as you and Doz are that the shootout is here to stay.

On a side note Florida's record against the Leafs is scary. Time to shake that off. The Leafs know they can use the flying elbow on Kopecky with no penatly so that's a start.
