Again it's not the point totals im talking about. Ovechkin has great stats in the playoffs but people think he can't deliver in the playoffs. You watch the Kings series last season, the Sedins got manhandled. Same with the Boston series. - Allstarzz
They still put up points, which is their job. No secondary scoring (which is on Gillis) is the problem. |

Kesler is one of the best two way forwards in the league when healthy, there's no denying that. Most in NHL circles would agree with that. He brings a two way game and he's good at it, simply looking at his point totals is misleading. He's a very good second line centre! - LeftCoaster
I'd take him as a 2nd line center... When healthy though... |

Actually they don't, they've always maintained almost a PPG average over their careers. But they can't carry a team all by themselves. - LeftCoaster

not quite a PPG there. though kinda freaky they have the exact same PPG |

That settles it then, Kesler and Luongo for Grabovski and Komisarek |

Gillis an overrated gm. He has Burke and Nonis' core players, and can't build around it. The Ballard trade was terrible, and then he trades Hodgson for a 3rd line pylon. I think he mishandled the Luongo situation as well. He should have just traded him for whatever he can get, noone is going to overpay for him now. Look at the cap situation next season. - Allstarzz

It's amazing what 1 win vs the Bruins does the optimism of Leaf fans on this site.
Kinda make me worried, as in the past whenever Leaf fans are happy, the team screws the pooch and brings back to blowing up the team in short order. - vermie22
This is the first time in forever that the season series hasn't been a lopsided victory for the bruins. They've outscored us by 2 goals in 3 games... I'd say there is reason for optimism. Last year they did what, 22 - 5 ?? |

And Grabs is overapid by 1.5mil....
That makes Keslers deal fair value not a home town discount type of contract.. |

Actually, I think Cammy would slot in nicely with Kessel. Cammy is a sniper and Kessel I think would love to be dishing off to a sniper type centre. |

Thats what I've been trying to tell people on here for weeks about grabs. He needs to be producing can't pay him that for "shutdown". |

Don't get me wrong, I am riding the high as well. Past experience dictates that it will be ripped away from me before long. But yes, this team under RC seems to heading in the right direction. Finally. |

He has a great work ethic and whenever I watch Nucks games, not very often so don't think I'm a specialist, he's one of the more noticeable players. At 5M I think it's the perfect price. He's a great 2nd line C. The only point I wanted to make is that we have Grabo who makes 500k more and is playing a 3rd line checking role. I'd take a healthy Kesler over a healthy Grabo 6 days of the week. |

You are looking for Lupul, he is back tonight. Kessel is the trigger, he does not need one on his line. Cammy is only a trigger, and has other issues. |

For a playoff run this year he would be nice, but I think he's under contract. If he was UFA i'de take a flyer. |

a team like the bruins would destroy a line that small
i see your point.. but kessel is too soft to be paired up with small guys.. bozak's size is the bottom rung imo |

Kessel plays good with everyone. If there is one thing I know about Kessel it is that. |
