Nope, good defensmen still are on for more goals for than against. Franson and Fraser are developing nicely. Ya the old playing against good player thing everyone uses that for grabs around here too. Who does Keith play against? Who do all the real number 1's play aganist? who did Dion used to play against and still be good in his own end?

And the argument is valid, if you play against a teams better players you're plus minus is going to be lower like with Phaneuf, if you play against the players that don't tend to score you're going to have a higher +/- like with Franson and Fraser.

I dont think the D is that bad even... they could use a big top 4 vet... but every team could.

He may thrive in a place like TOR, but the fact is it's purely speculation for a guy making north of 6m

They certainly do, but they have both sides of the ice covered with arguably the best two way center in the game in Toews, and also arguably the best two way forward in the game with Hossa and Sharp backchecks like a hound.

But regardless I did say that Keith is a better defensemen but you can't really compare Keith to Phaneuf anyway.

Yeah Lupul is hilarious man. I don't know that he really tried to hit the head on that play, it's more like it was a cheap hit and he also (frank)ed up and hit him in the head. He sure had a point though...although that's par for the course with the discipline in the NHL.

Lupul is going to be gold when they do that 24/7 show next year...Grabbo will be hilarious too, I hope we keep him just for that (also because he's a good player), he's like our Borat

In all fairness, the Habs aren't a joke this year. Good to see so many Canadian teams doing well this year. My being a fan of the leafs, doesn't impact my love for the nation. I'll be rooting for a Canadian team to win it and if they get eliminated, a Canadian captain to win it!

Well thats your opinion.

Im sure they'd love to add an impact Dman... as would most teams... but that not easy to do.

I know they are trying... last year were right there with Philly in trying to land Weber... they know fans are getting tired of it. So it'll be interesting to see what happens.
