3pts awarded in a game creates tight standings. I know this is what the league wants, but from a pure hockey traditionalist point of view, it is flat out wrong.

Yeah, I saw that. We’ll see how true it is. Some tough decisions ahead. What to do with Bozak, in particular. You sign him, it’s probably going to be for a stupid amount, and one that pretty much means you almost have to use him in the top 6. They won’t trade him while they’re in the hunt. But if they don’t sign him, a team that is already weak down the middle gets weaker. Not a good situation. There isn’t much out there in terms of free agents either.

I’m not too worried about the D or goalies though.

totally, the overtimes were brutal on most occasions. I also agree that now the last 5 minutes of tied game does tend to slow down and tighten up, with less push from both sides. But it is what it is, and it's not going to change anytime soon.
I have always hated how the top seed from a crappy division gets the automatic #3 spot in the conference standing. Is this changing next year with the re-alignment? I forget.

He did...nice active stick on the poke check - decent positioning, especially on Seguin flying in at a thousand miles an hour. But still some bad decisions on the offence side, only because I think he needs to keep that side of the game a little more simple.
