People talk about the pick the Leafs gave up, being Dougie Hamilton. But if the Leafs had taken that pick, they'd have picked some other stiff that wouldn't have done anything. - PrinceLH
A stiff like Kadri?
This argument is so lame.
That whole game was an absolute fly-by by Kessel last night. Disgraceful. Then we get to watch ourselves get burned by Seguin, Hamilton, and Rask. |

The absolutely need to beat FLA tonight, but I saw a tweet that the LEafs have a brutal record against them lately.
James Mirtle @mirtle 14h
Here's a stat for tomorrow: The Panthers have earned points in 16 of their last 20 games against the Leafs, going 13-4-3 over that span.

I love how they blew up the play at the blueline 5000X trying to see if it was offside and when they couldn't see it out past the line they still talked poop about it. |

interesting little schtick in the boston write up.
outside of tyler bozak, leaf shooters are 0 for 17 in the shootout this season?
looks like the goaltending can take the heat all day for the shootout, but it doesn't really mean crap unless they let bozak shoot 3 times. - joel878
I'm not a huge Reimer fan, but it isn't al his fault by any stretch. If the Leafs were losing 3-2 in all these shootouts I could understand blaming Reimer. Obviously it has become a psychological problem. It is a fuhking stupid way to decide a game anyway, always has been, always will be, in any sport. |

Agreed. Reimer was one of the main reasons we weren't losing the game in Regulation.
Reimer was rather weak in the shootout, especially didn't like the bergeron goal. But the game previous and the Buffalo game he can't be faulted. |

Go back and listen to "Because I was (got?) High". I forgot how funny the lyrics were that song. |

Don't fear my friend, fear attracts negative circumstance. These boys are on a learning curve, mistakes are going to happen. The Bruins may have been buzzing but they were buzzing on the perimeter with very limited chances up the middle, which is where they are used to capitalizing. Even though they came back and won, they were tired and had to do so in a very ugly fashion, whereas before they were out skilling us, out scheming us, and within energy to spare. Our boys are buying in, and theyre learning to play like a team. We limit the chances by keeping them to the outside, they may get a lot of shots, but when they get blocked, our boys almost sure get a chance the other way (Hello Nazem to Kulemin!!!). Its either that, an easy save for a whistle or a lucky one that sneaks in. In time our confidence is slowly going to develop into an aura, and when then aura is strong enough we will find ourselves winning more games than imaginable just a year ago. Its a good sight, and progression is clear as day. Thats all that matters. - Rysko81
Not as rosy as you seem to draw out here - not a chance this leaf team could win a series against the Bruins or the Pens right now - need a big time D that can stay pace with the superstars of the league, not sure any are available, we are seeing why Gardiner was still in the Marlies and obviously Gardiners agent is an agent and not a frankn scout - the guy has great offensive vision and skill but has zero defensive skills and is very weak on the body, do we not pay this guy enough for him to visit the Gym? I mean the guy looks like he has a couple pencils for arms and plays in his own end like it too. We should have won that game and gave it away - PHANEUF!!!!!!! |

The entire season I have been defending Phaneuf saying that he wasn't that bad, hes logging a lot of minutes and playing the best lines.
I'm starting to see that he's not what is advertised. He's out of position, slow, makes poor choices... He's not even that strong down low on the boards. He can't tie anyone up in the corner battles anymore. He never makes a huge hit, if he does, its a terrible choice. He needs to have his minutes reduced from 28 down to around 21-22. The guy is obviously in over his head. Honestly hurts to watch him play these days... Not sure what he needs to get him going, perhaps a trip to a power skating clinic for a week? |

Yes bu the team infront of both goalies is very different. The flames frequrntly hang kipper out to dry. The leafs have a much more solid d and forward core. - vancity787
This kind of statement only ever gets mentioned from another fan base if is being used to support a specific arguement. |

Why do people call it a loser point?
Its a point that was earned. When there were ties, they both got one. Now they award a bonus point. So i'm just saying, it shouldn't be referred to as a loser point. |

Because thats what it is...Leafs got a point in a game they lost..WTF is up with rewarding a team for losing a game..
There should have been 2pts given out last night to the B's for winning the game and 0 to the Leafs because they lost the game.. |

Another 5 minutes of overtime at 3 on 3...then stays a tie...that's what I'd like to see. Shootout is horrible for me to watch - win or lose. |
