A smart tactic for tonight would be giving kadri top line minutes and kessel kadri minutes. Boston always puts on chara when kessel is on, what are they gunna do? Continue to put on chara when kessel is on limited minutes against boston? Maybe that will give him a hint to play better. Kessel cant play against boston, he needs limited minutes to learn how to cope with his former team big time

Well thats your opinion.

Im sure they'd love to add an impact Dman... as would most teams... but that not easy to do.

I know they are trying... last year were right there with Philly in trying to land Weber... they know fans are getting tired of it. So it'll be interesting to see what happens.

The way I see it 3 scenarios are possible;

1) Edmonton wins keeps it's stars trades off the extra assets to maintain a winning team

2) Edmonton continues losing and their players begin to want out

3) Edmonton loses for a bit but eventually turns the ship around. However there are major cap issues and they are forced to sell off assets for less than retail to get under the cap.

I think they're just naturally giving Kadri more minutes as he continues to do well, if I'm not mistaken his ice time is going up and he's playing against top lines. Makes perfect sense, but I think you continue to play Kessel just as much as well. Kessel's not the only Leaf who's gotten killed by Boston over the last two years, they all have. I don't think it's he can't play against Boston, I think it's more like Boston kicked all the Leafs' asses. Besides, Kessel played really well in the most recent game, I'd play him and Kadri both as much as ever.
