I strongly agree with your disagreement. He had a horrid start to the season but has been stellar the past 20 games. He has some flaws in his game but he's definitely a solid top pairing D man.

Phaneuf's stats have been similar to Doughty the last couple of years and Phaneuf is out producing him this year, Phaneuf has out produced Green the last couple years too even if you adjust Greens game played to match Phaneufs.

Thanks, sometimes I want to hit him with a shovel when he does something dumb but he's playing near 30 mins a night and still finding a way to contribute a respectable amount of points while shutting down the oppositions best players. Verses comparable defensemen he is on par if not better than most of them. Based on his personality I don't know if he should be our captain but he is a top pairing D man on most teams in this league.

Cool and Gardiner has a history of concussions now, when will the next one hit? You can find negatives about any player.

I view RNH as a superstar in this league in the very near future. I think most GM's feel the same way.

A mid 1st rounder, a decent defensive prospect with 3/4 potential and a 3/4 defensive isn't that much to give up for a superstar 1st line C.

Funny how fast things change. If u proposed Gards and a 1st for RNH last year u wouldve been laughed at for thinking that would get it done. Now the kid has a sophomore slump due to injuries and now the tides have turned and we would be giving up too much to get a blue chip elite center prospect. LOL at Leaf fans.

I'm happy that other teams have issues as well but that doesn't negate the LEafs. There is no reason that a number one defensmen on a playoff club should be playing minus hockey, whether it's in LA or otherwise.
