No better way than to learn from a guy who has playoff and gold medal experience.
- Fakepartofme

I say LA because of sutter, im sure sutter is pushing his GM to make a move for iggy surely
- Mapleleafs_91

Iginla already submitted his list of teams. Sutter helped the Kings get on the list but it's still up to the Flames to get the best deal. If the Bruins and the Kings have the same offer on the table, the Flames might prefer to send him East.

Yeah, he'll probably break out of it tonight! That's all we need.

He's still only 24-25 years old, so he'll rebound at some point but the Bruins will need that to happen for the playoffs.

Renaud Lavoie ‏@RenLavoieRDS 10s

Concussion for Daniel Briere. Injury occurred during a one-on-one drill at practice last week

The Flyers are toast. I hate the Flyers more than any other team. Love watching them implode.

- faceto27

Take a look at Briere's salary and salary cap hit numbers.

2 years left @ $6.5 millon per year cap hit.

But only $3 million next year in actual salary, and $2 million the year after that.

My guess is the Flyers were hoping to unload him at the deadline. It now becomes a summer project.

well why even make a move then... dont just do something for the sake of doing something... if the piece you need isnt there then you shouldnt do anything (look at the connolly signing)
- DarcyTucker16

We havent had a decent center since Sundin. I think its about time we do something since we have a decent team in place with a core of JVR, Kessel, Lupul, Kadri, Gardiner, Phaneuf and a great prospect in Rielly

The great myth of Thornton not showing up in the playoffs is based upon one series when he was in Boston.

And he was playing with a seperated or dislocated shoulder.

The guy can play.

Or at least he could. Might be getting a little old now.

Yeah no doubt the flames would want to send him out east, but didnt iggy prefer the west or something? Thought i heard that somewhere.. i hope he gets traded, helps the flames rebuild, helps another team for playoffs while the flames get to watch their former captain in playoffs and have a chance at the cup, and for all you know he could resign with the flames in the summer again

So if the Blackhawks acquire Iginla and Hossa gets hurt in the playoffs, they're stupid because they had the foresight to plan ahead and reinforce their team?

joe thornton scored probley 22 of those points int he first 2 weeks and has about 6 points int he last 2 months.

say what u want about the guy, he never shows up in the playoffs and he just doesnt seem like the #1 we want (if were going to pay that much).

just my opinion.

- big_dion

His 87pts in 114 games suggest otherwise.

Wouldn't surprise me.

From what I gather, he went through a nasty divorce. Now he has an arrangement where he has the kids when he is home, and the ex has the kids when he is in the road.

So I could see how he wouldn't want to alter it.

And on a related note, that's why I wouldn't mind trading Komi for Kaberle.

What the hell, it couldn't hurt at this point.

again just keep throwing points up as an argument... its how he plays, at what point in the game those points come from etc.

Leafs have Poor cap management...

Overpaid Grabs/Phaneuf and Komi/Connolly contracts..+buyouts...it all adds up..

Gonna get some relief this summer for Komi/Connolly but they also have guy's up for pay increases..

Havent had a decent center in like a billion years, decent center comes along, leaf fans say "no"

Who we honestly going to get? Are we a last place team that we can draft mackinnon? No. Is there any other centermans out there that could possibly be available besides guys on SJ or Stastny? Prob not. So then where the hell is this super center were going to get Non existent
