We have only heard of his initial list of teams, he may be asked to provide a few more. I think he has already decided to move on or they would have extended him. We cant not trade him now or he walks for free & its not like we are playoff bound. Remember Dutter saved Lombardi's a$$ last year, so if he is pushing hard & he doesnt care what he gives up to win today attitude, you may be surprised what L a prepared to cough up.

I'm thinking the list will grow as well. I can't see Iggy saying no if Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Detroit, etc... come calling wityh the best offer. Iggy has too much class for that.

What I think, is there is a list of his 4 "perfect match" type teams. But you can't tell me that if the Canes or someone blow Feaster away with an offer that he's not going to lean hard on Iggy to head south.

I can't see the Kings trading Bernier with Jonathan "50/50" Quick in goal. Muzzin has been the Kings best defencman as well, so I doubt they are in any hurry to move him.

Subban and a 1st maybe, but I doubt it. More like Spooner, and roster player and a 1st.

I'd say the Pens and the Bruins are the frontrunners.

Quick is their guy, end of story. I know you like having 2 strong goalies , but at the end of the day it's more than likely a waste of talent.

Don't discount the Darryl Sutter connection either. He loves Iggy and I guarantee he wants him bad. Lombardi is a gambler too. My money is on LA

Ya I would somewhat agree....maybe not Carolina, because I think he definitely wants a shot. But Montreal, Detroit, St. Louis, Washington even....these teams come to mind.

You beat me to it, but you hit the nail on the head I think.

Going to have to disagree...though I know what youre saying, in this instance I think Iginlas value could go up. A team like Boston who wanted a guy like Morrow to help them out with this years run now has only one guy left who can help out.

Its the kind of guy they want too...and they are competing with a few other teams...they missed out on Morrow as they didnt offer enough...who's to say this time around they dont ensure they land Iggy.

I agree long term, but for this season I'd keep Bernier around and deal him at the draft.

I can certainly see interest from Montreal, with the way things are going for them. Plus, did they not just lose Prust?

Keep in mind Kings would desperately need a goalie back. Lombardi has already said that Jones is not NHL ready, and it seems clear to everyone that Quick is not back to 100% yet. I think Bernier moves over the summer.

I would agree if the number of teams in the bidding war increases. Which is of course entirely possible.

True...the Flames could deal MacDonald with Iggy so they have a legitimate backup. I'm not saying Bernier would 100% be in the deal either. Could be other prospects involved.

I could see Peverley being moved if the Flames had any interest albeit he is a bit older.

Wondering if a guy like Torey Krug might interest the Flames as well. Having a very good season in Providence, projects as an offensive d-man probably a 3/4/5 type and PP specialist. Pevs/Krug/Subban?

There's always Jordan Caron too.

two prospects (1a/1b) and a pick is what they're asking for.

Why would adding a top 9 forward in Morrow make the Penguins less interested in adding a top 6 forward like Iginla?

If I were Shero...Id'g grab another heart and soul player that hasn't won a cup...he has one with Morrow...why not go for Iginila too?

Gonna give up another pick and a prospect for another rental?

honestly, I can't see the Flames moving him unless the offers start improving.

The Hawks seem to be offering mi-range guys, Who might be NHL players one day. Pass

Not sure what Boston is offering, but I doubt Hamilton is in play. I'm thinking pass

And I can't see the Kings moving Bernier or any of their young players because they are playing as good or better than their high price guys. Pass on Toffoli for me.

At the end of the day, If i'm Feaster I need a 1st, a blue chipper and a decent roster player or Iggy finishes the year and likely his career in Calgary.

- IanEsplen

Cool, because I wouldn't want LA to move Toffoli for Iginla straight-up, let alone adding more to the deal.

I don't even see Chicago as a real legit destination. Thought Bowman has been quoted that he doesn't want to make any drastic changes and if anything is looking for a 4th line center for depth?

They actually improved their 5th to a 3rd in the Morrow deal.....try and keep up here.

I doubt anyone gives that much. A first and a mid range prospect at best.

Can anyone explain to me WTF Dallas are doing. I dont understand, I thought Nieuy was a very very intelligent educated hockey smart man. Why would he trade pieces when his team is currently in a playoff position? Read on TSN.com how Lou Erickson may be on the block. WTF are they doing????

I understand that. Morrow is a great prospect. Iggy would cost more. I think they went this route because it cost less. I dont see them doing both.

I think the question comes down to what happens after this season. I think Iggy signs in any of the markets he (apparently) put forward. Outside that, it would be rental and god knows what would happen on the open market. If Iggy wants that Cup that bad, he won't be back in Calgary as a player...

The trouble with LA (assuming he signs) is they are a DIVISIONAL opponent next year. Chicago is conference so thats why I'd lean to a team out East (including Detroit as of next year).

If the Iggy deal drops... who's next?

Intellectual Honesty man, exactly what the Flames talk about.....sure they could make the playoffs, but they are being honest with themselves, do they have a legitimate shot at the cup? No.

Lou isn't on the block. It's Larry Brooks throwing his opinion out there, there is zero evidence they are looking at moving him.

As for Nieuy, maybe he realizes Morrow isn't going to be there next year. Morrow has sucked for stretches this year and they were able to get a pretty decent return for him.

Doubt that Bergevin will pay a king ransom for a rental. I think he's using this season evaluating what he's really got. Trying defensemen prospects instead of playing Kaberle.

With lots of Draft picks this year (6 in the first 3 rounds) he could rent something but I doubt he will.

Next year, he'll have the cap space to start adding his own players to the core and if the Habs still play like they are this year, which I have no doubt, he could do that kind of big rental deal especially with Markov on his last year.

Prust should be back next week.

I agree...hence why LA would have to pay more IMO.

Love how Iginla narrows his team list to the 4 best teams in the NHL.

Anything for a Cup
