Except it does. Philly fans are irrational idiots. There's people on twitter upset that the Flyers are matching the Pens' moves.
- Jsaquella

Well that's moronic. Making knee jerk trades to keep up with someone light years ahead of you is just comical.

With Briere concussed now, there aren't any players I would sell now with the exception of Gagne.

Over the past couple of years? I'll have to ask my secretary.

Same one that filled you in on what pens fans said about Bylsma?

After that 6-5 loss to the Flyers, there were grumblings. That's just the way it goes.

I'd be selling Gagne, Fedotenko and listening to offers for Hartnell, Talbot, Meszaros and Coburn.

Sounds like you have an excess in administrative positions. I'd cut back to minimize costs and maximize profits.

I thought only the Flyers traded 2nd round picks like candy when they're a contending team?

...and so if Briere finishes the season on IR with a concussion, the Flyers can't buy him out correct? Joy

- eayost

What an awful scenario with Briere. Certainly won't be able to trade him now, and a buyout may potentially in jeopardy as well. Somehow this doesn't surprise me.

Nice moves for the Pens given their situation

Unrelated Question: How much will the cap drop for next year?

Yea well he righted the ship, which unfortunately is something I don't see happening for our team.

According to Josh Rimer, the Lightning players have been told they will have a new coach in place by tomorrow night, and it will either be Lindy Ruff or Jon Cooper.

Looking on the bright side he probably wasn't going to waive his NMC anyway, and it's unlikely this concussion is so bad that he'll still be unfit three months from now.

Fedetenko yes. I would like to keep Hartnell and Talbot. If they can get someone to overpay I would consider moving Coburn, and then hope to replace him with someone in the same cap range. Meszaros is a wildcard. Would hate to trade him for pennies on the dollar because he's been injured. Would be tough to swallow to see him regain top form with another team.

Now Briere can go back to playing video games with his kids rather than Cooter. God forbid a multi millionaire have to uproot his kids to keep playing a game for a living

I'd like to keep them, too. But if somebody came along and offered an overpayment for either, Id have to move them. That's what I mean by listening. Get a good enough return and adios.

Dear God. That would be people who have no idea what Hockey is about. Rentals for a non playoff team.. Genius.

If Briere was willing to go over to Germany to play during the lockout, what makes you think he would be unwilling to wave to have a chance at a Stanley Cup?
