I think that is fair. If the Penguins do win the Cup though, and Murray and Morrow are contributors will any Penguins fans give a rats ass about giving up the picks? Selecting at the end of the second round the player selected there isn't very likely to ever crack the Pens lineup.

Nope..i wouldn't either. To tell the truth though, I see their goaltending letting them down. Fleury was pretty good last night, but he just seems so flaky to me. Handling the puck, having trouble locating it.. 2 games ago when he was pulled vs us, that was one of the worst pro goaltending displays I've seen.. the third goal by Timonen was Horrendous. I think he folds under the pressure, and Boston is a better Defensive team.

BTW: Why trade Coburn? Sure he is having a bad year but who will play all those minutes? And for a late 1st? I say- NO!

- coffee junkie

Any player out there that they might acquire. Tons of replacements out there for Coburn apparently!

can he still be bought out if he still has symptoms and is considered injured? just thinking ahead...

No, but if they don't win the Cup people will crucify them. Look at people shredding Holmgren for not getting Weber or Suter.
- Jsaquella

The 09 Cup has given Shero some currency. If they don't win this year, he won't be crucified.

Maybe Pittsburgh fans aren't irrational, knee jerk morons like a lot of Flyers fans?

If Detroit hadn't choked that year and Crosby was the best player to never win a Cup, they would be on a much shorter leash. That's just how it goes.

Nah, that's just sports fans in general.

Some Pens fans were calling for Bylsma's head after the meltdown earlier this season vs. the Flyers. Saying he can't adjust, has no control over the team, his system isn't working against the Flyers, etc.

I have no idea how that relates to the Flyers, though.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. Any fan base that goes decades without winning becomes impatient. Can't just be said for the fan base in the Flyers case, team management is the bigger culprit.

I thought only the Flyers traded 2nd round picks like candy when they're a contending team?

...and so if Briere finishes the season on IR with a concussion, the Flyers can't buy him out correct? Joy

I stand by my quote.

There's people on twitter pissed off that the Flyers aren't matching the Penguins moves by adding rentals.

Except it does. Philly fans are irrational idiots. There's people on twitter upset that the Flyers are matching the Pens' moves.

No, he'd have to pass a physical in June to be bought out

How many teams in the division does bylsma have a losing record against?

Dear God. That would be people who have no idea what Hockey is about. Rentals for a non playoff team.. Genius.
