Its a process, that Wang is good with apprently. You are under budget Grath, Great Job.

Pretty much, i still believe this team at the very least can be more competitive with a competent coach and perhaps some legit NHL talent. That's where I fault Snow.

Isles have 2 of the best available offensive D-men in the game
Boyle has yrs remaining, Whitney is always injured, besides Streit & Viz who else is better and possibly available?

Idk who, just thinking of names quickly.

- Ur Not Me

They are the perfect rentals and prob would be obliged to signing to whomever trades for them I'd think if the team wanted too? It's a good scenario, i agree. Let's just hope Snow does the right thing.

How can Wang unload this type of money, without anything back in return to go towards the Cap Floor..
- bixll

Snow would have to be a GM in the offseason. There's a thought.

Well obviously something has to come back

And I'm not saying all three are going to be traded.

I'm saying there are partners for the Isles to dance with and they have the chips to make deals.

Besides as with any deal. Isles can bring salary back as a side dish to the main course.

If Snow plays his cards right, it could be amazing for this club. If I am he, I go after more on the verge talent. Grab as many of these kids as you can get. We all know that is the way Wang is going to want him to go, far less financial committment for Wang. Stock the cupbpards full and see how it plays out in the summer. With several guys able to be moved, he could really cash in.

Why bother, it will just increase expenses.

He is in a pretty good situation. He has prospects to trade if he wants, he's got some pretty good vets to trade come the deadline and a pretty good draft. I just hope he does'nt flip this script like UIF stated and resigns these guys?

If you shed salary you just have to add to reach the floor. Something us Isle fans are well versed in at this point. Unfortunately Snow has done this by rushing prospects(Bailey, Nino)or ladening contracts with ridiculous bonus clauses that won't be met to increase the cap hit. If he actually added legit talent to the team reaching the floor is not at all difficult and as far as expenses you're playing at the floor, their as low as they can go. Hence why i said if he acted like an actual GM and filled that space to the floor(none of the Rolstons or Pandalfos) this team would be better for it and Wang does not increase expenses, he's at the floor.

A monumental "IF"

Thats what will likely be offered for Rental players like Viz and Streit along with some picks.

Nabby??? May actually fetch a roster player with experience and some life expectancy.

Go for farm team players, get the scouts to frankin scout. Try to get some steals from teams.

Great point Capt. . Prospects, Nabby, Viz, Streit, draft picks, KO and Bailey as trading chips could... Should bring back a Tremendous return.

Maybe a game changer if a package is put together.

But is Snow capable? Is Wang willing?

Is there a partner?

I'd love to see if OV could be pried from the Caps!!!!

No way Snow trades any of these guys if they are only a point or two out of a playoff spot. He kept PA for the playoff push last year when they were 10 points out

I think this is the question more than anything else? Let's face it he is limited in salary what he can do, it's no secret. That's fine, you're shedding x amount of dollars in salary, you HAVE to find a way to fill it. Just don't fill it with garbage, fill it with legit NHL talent. Stop taking the easy way out. That's what GM's do, try to win. You are talking about somewhere around 15 million in salary off the top of my head. OK, you dropped it now fill it. It's not rocket science.
