come on Ek
that's like saying something might happen but I will not mention any names so I can't be laughed at
But if something does happen, you heard it first here
step off the ledge and throw some names out so you get some street cred back
you had balls 7 or 8 years ago, feel free to start using them again

I'd like to think Yzerman has more sense than that. |

All of their picks (CBJ, NYR, LAK) are set to be from 10-18. Not worth it in the slightest. - LetsGoBuffalo75
I don't understand your reasoning. Buffalo isn't going to be able to re-sign Pommer, Vanner, & Millsy. One or more will have to go. Pominville is the odd man out, and it is better you get something for him now. |

Terrible trade but ou because dion had a a decent rep at that point , he was playing like garbage and I didn't think they would get much for him at all .... - Redmile247
It's difficult to support this interpretation in light of how bad a GM Darryl was, especially around the time he made the trade.
Personally I'll always believe that Darryl only ever was talking to Burke, never making a serious effort to actually shop Dion, and because Burke is a far better GM than Darryl, he played him. The fact that Aulie was included in the deal for no apparent reason when, at the time he was one of the Flames top prospects says it all to me. |

id say sharp would go out of the core of the hawks, no way kane or toews go anywhere, from habs i would assume pax and eller would be involved and emilen would be coming our way, i doubt habs would move subban - Hawkeyes
Sharp does not fit the bill of "a player we thought would never get traded." On Chicago, Kane and Toews fit that bill. |

I would be ecstatic if Gillis could pull that one off, but I doubt Yzerman would do it. |

IF that, or anything close, is true...then talk about reducing Iginla's value even more.
Once again, the franchise continually shooting itself in the foot for being too conservative. |

It's true. In fact, Backlund is the only other natural center on the roster.
Credit to Hartley maybe, Stajan really has had his best year since before he got traded. |

His value was not as good and he had to get moved. Unfortunately, Darryl decided to buy a car and only went to the first dealership. Sat down, and waited for Burke to keep including things to make it sound better than it really was.
Regardless, I don't think it was the worst trade he made. |

The truth is that Iginla needed to be traded at least 1-2 years ago, the only question is how much damage they did by waiting this long. |
