Gleason also forgot to mention Phil Housley for coach, after what he did with the US team this past winter i would think he would be first in line for any head coach vacancies - billyk
Interesting that Boucher has gone from boy genius to overmatched dud in one year. |

Gleason's article can also be titled "Throwing poop Against the Wall." - PassionBucket16
I know, he certainly does that a lot. But it was interesting seeing all of those names. I forgot about a lot of those guys and it was a nice reminder as to who is out there from a former-Sabre standpoint. |

Yep, Gleason throws a lot of poop.
Like Bucky saying that Yzerman hiring Boucher in Tampa Bay was far superior to everything Regier was doing. - Jacob582
Agreed.
Yzerman has done fook all since being hired, yet people were falling over themselves trying to praise him for Boucher, the Lindback trade etc. |

A little less nervous, but for the most part, still whining. |

Sounds about right.
Serious question - are some folks there thinking that Burke has gotten a raw deal? I mean, this is the team he put together, and, much as I hate to say it - they're looking pretty good. |

Please be Lindy, please be Lindy. I liked Lindy in Buffalo. But the time had come for him to move on. I'd love to see Lindy in Tampa. |

It's really a mish mash of opinions. Everyone has their own take on things, but while Burke did a lot of good for this team, missing the playoffs as long as he did didnt win him any favours. The problem with being a GM and making moves for the future is that you're going to be fired before your plan truly unfolds. Especially when you have to lose first to win later. I personally thought he got a raw deal, but many will disagree.
Have you seen the realignment and new divisions? Just our luck that our conference has two extra teams and our division with one more. Complete bullpoop. |

I definitely wouldn't be scared of having Lindy coach in our division. If he enjoyed his time in Sunrise then he may enjoy going to Tampa as the head man. |

Yeah - and we're basically the NE division plus "oh poop what are we going to do with these stupid Florida teams"
Ugh. |

I think they should have kept the coach and unloaded Vinny and St. Louis. Rebuild around Stamkos. I always liked Boucher. |

Lecavalier might have the worst contract in the league. No way they can move him. Amnesty or buyout, maybe, but they'd be paying a ton to have him go leave. |

Wrong, Patty LaFontaine is a class act. Could run a organization to a cup! - Irish 14
I think the job upstairs he took for the islander lasted a few days or weeks before he walked

Well, he had quite the track record coming up. I think he won championships in Hamilton, Drummondville and Rimouski.
When he got hired I seem to remember people talking how he could turn ice cream into poop with the players he coached.
I suppose there could be worse choices. He'll definitely get a chance somewhere else. |

have you watched him play?
serious question because he is healthy again this season and all over the ice
the problem with tampa is they over paid a few of the wingers have third liners playing with him on the second line
I am waiting for the day they put him or stamkos on the wing and play their 3 best players on the same line |

LaFontaine is one of my heroes, but to suggest he's ready for that job is prosperous. Homie's write. He walked on Long Island. He's been coaching 16 year olds. Not ready.
Ditto, Housley. Coaching a tournament team of 18 year olds is completely different than pros. Housley was a great offensive defenseman and one of the softest players in the history of the organization. No thank you. |

Whenever I see Kadri play the first thing that flashes into my mind is "Where did Kessel go ?" Kessel is completely invisible. He has a 'pretty' stick though..
I wonder if he likes rainbows (?) |
