I think there's something in their logo that gives the people the illusion that they're better than they actually are. I really like their team, but half the stuff I hear right now makes me scratch my head... They get more praise in Newfie-land than the Hawks do for Christ's sake. It's mind-boggling.

Totally agree that this team woulda been bad the past few years regardless of the coach.
As far as kreuger and especially renney. I dont think either was the problem.
However, I do think both have been outcoached on multiple occasions.
But at the end of the day, i doubt tippet coulda done that much better

I'll somewhat agree with you here. MacT did a great job with some pretty mediocre teams but tbere isnt a coach out there that doesnt have a defined life span. Pining away for MacT is pointless.

I wont pretend that I like everything Krueger has done. I dont. I just hate the tendency people have to find a scapegoat when a whole team just isnt getting it done.

For me its the opposite. I write off Some perenial losing franchises every year because of the logo. St.loo included. Until last years playoffs.

Although i do believe theyre a true contender, and are built for the playoffs, theyve yet to prove theyre better than the hawks. So thats a little silly
