Pick 1st overall 3 years in a row, and mess up the pick. And then their gm gets an extension. Seguin>Hall, Landy>RNH, Galchenyuk>Yak. Heck Huberdeau is going to be better than RNH. Sad really. - Allstarzz
That be some Leafs logic for ya.

At least the leafs, who are the 2nd youngest team in the league are in a playoff spot while playing in a much harder division this year. I know we could thank Kadri for that. If only one of the Oilers many 1st overall picks could lead their team to the playoffs. Oh wait. |

I bet you're able to make these kinds of comments because you're wealthy and your penis is big and everyone adores you and thinks you're really smart. |

If you look at it. It wasn't even trolling. All those players look like better players at the moment. - Allstarzz
How does galchenyuk look better then yak? |

How is the East harder this year... 3 teams in that division elimnated themselves from the Playoffs within the first half of season.
Edmonton is only what 3 points out still?
Have a couple games with Anahiem and Chicago in your conference... you would be eating your words pretty fast. |

The East has higher concentration of dominate teams this year. In the West Anaheim and Chicago are the two best in the league and from there it's a toss up. |

I think it fits the mold of what people have been saying around you. It's not like Smid is going to get you a superstar. - Viktory
Smid's gonna get extended. Stop with the bogus trade rumours |

How many "dominant teams" could their possibly be? After Chicago, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, Montreal and Boston, there's a 5 point gap and then 19 teams within 10 points of each other. Those 5 are 'dominant' and then the next 10 are middle of the pack (5 East, 5 West) |

In what world is Seguin(career .6ppg) better than Hall(career .8ppg)?
RNH 63P in 89GP. Landeskog 63P in 100GP.
Yak 15P in 29GP. Gally 14P in 30GP.
How you can outright say who's better between any of 'em shows how ignorant and educated you are. Quelle surprise. Never seen any ignorant folk on this site. |

On second thought, I'll count all the teams with at least 32 points as the next bunch. 6 East, 6 West |

Two of the Top 3 teams in the east are in one division. Followed by two more teams in that division in playoff spots, one of whom with a full roster would have been dominate, the other being the Leafs are overachieving some. I was counteracting the point that the Leafs play in a harder division than Edmonton, and that still stands.

I personally have a hard time swallowing Smid is worth a decent up and coming goalie and a 1st round pick (if resigned). As I said, he is a guy we don't even really need. - Gord_Wilson_2.0
Maybe we should offer you Hall plus Yakapov for Bishop but then you would say that we would need to throw in RNH just to make it a fair trade. |

If the east was so dominant, an Ottawa team missing half it's roster wouldn't be 5th. Face it, half of the games played in the east are giveaway wins. Buffalo, TB, Washington, Philly, Florida, NYI give me a break |

Tougher division, sure. Tougher conference, probably not. The conferences are about even, with a few teams at the top and a cluster(frank) in the middle.
The Leafs have played 31 games, with 35 points. 12gp against their strong division.
The Oilers have played 29 games, with 29 points. 9gp against their weak division.
Stands to reason the Oilers have an "easier" road ahead, and could certainly make up some ground on teams like the Leafs. Whether that makes them a worse team than the Leafs, who can say, unless they were to miraculously meet in the cup final. |
