You're right. Hemsky for Weber, Gagner for Datsyuk + Zetterberg. Might as well do Smid for Stamkos while we're at it. - jmatchett
Flyers suck.

Ya, I have a feeling they are going to give him every chance to prove himself. Which is okay, but we've seen time and time again how guys begin to fail after a good opening stretch. Then the worry is about his condifence. - Lahey
I'd be happy with Klefbom hanging around AHL for next year + until he's good and ready to make an impact in the NHL. Kinda like Marincin Gernat and Musil. |

For now...no one. I wouldn't make a change to the Oilers goaltending situation (except drafting a goalie) until they could allow less than 30 shots a game. It's not their most pressing need, and to me goalies can be added as a pretty late piece of the puzzle. - Morris
Agreed ....the one thing that kills a team are soft goals tho .... Making 30 saves a night is great even if your bailing a team out a few times but that soft goal is so mentally draining on a team |

What's more draining a soft goal here or there, or a goalie that allows in 4 or 5 goals a night because he takes so many shots? |

Because Bishop, Bernier, Lehner and Khudobin, despite playing 126 NHL games combined, are better starting goalies now than Dubnyk will ever be. - Morris

Again, you do realize that legit #1 puck-moving defenseman (probably the #1 demand league-wide) is going to cost more than Hemsky. You'll have to say goodbye to one of Eberle, Hall, RNH, or Yakupov to start with. Then you start adding the other pieces (complimentary players, picks, prospects). - jmatchett
that's what I've been saying |

I could see NYI being a good landing spot for Hemsky and Smid. Isles don't have a solid shut down D and although Boyes has been successful on the top line someone like Hemsky could be a little better suited. Okposo could come the other way as his name has been on the trade wire all season, he would meet EDMs needs (physical winger) and would fit well into Clouts fantasy 2013-2014 lines. Then perhaps Streit coming this way as well...
Hemsky and Smid for Okposo and Streit? |

Bob has it right with the Smid situation for sure. As much as I like Smid, I think the money is wrong. With the Klefboom and Co. on the way up, Smid needs to sign in under 3 Mil.
I don't care about the poopety draft this year. A first rounder isn't going to fix this team. I just ignored the bottom half of the blog about the draft.
This team will be in the tank for another 6 years if we're trying to draft the next dynasty. |

Well thought out comment. Flyers might be picking int he top 5 this year. Maybe you guys can give us a few pointers, it's been your MO for the last 5 years or so now. |

When's the "Kadri still sucks" blog coming out Clouts? - LeafsNation91
Soon as the 'Gagner is a bust' crew start working rounds again.

LOL Cloutier knocks Gagner every season. Check his previous blogs. "Gagner is too small to be a 2nd line center on our team full of BIG forwards." He wanted him traded. |

So we add picks, prospects and complimentary players to Hemsky and get a lesser D-man. Who says we need the best dman on earth? Lots of ways to avoid trading those four. |

Gagner is the Oilers best player. And they want him traded, while their supposed stars under achieve. Makes sense. |

I actually did a little math, if we had the average spct that is going around in the NHL we'd have allowed 9 more goals this year. |

Pick 1st overall 3 years in a row, and mess up the pick. And then their gm gets an extension. Seguin>Hall, Landy>RNH, Galchenyuk>Yak. Heck Huberdeau is going to be better than RNH. Sad really. |

Why would any Leafs fan want Kadri traded now? And I have been supporting Kadri ever since he was drafted. That nut head Wilson wouldn't play him. He said Kadri wasn't good defensively, yet he plays Bozak who was terrible on d last season. Kadri is +17 this season. WILSON IS A DUMMY. |

If you look at it. It wasn't even trolling. All those players look like better players at the moment. |
