I'm late to the party right?

Between Sustr and Victor Hedman, I'm guessing Tampa is going for a twin towers thing.

If this is even remotely accurate all it tells me is that this TEAM needs a major attitude adjustment.
- MBFlyerfan

Agreed. It still seems odd that there's no mention of this anywhere else.

Oh please. Is Bryz the only one living in the real world. What he said was 100% true. Maybe the team should have done something about it rather then get their asses beat 5-2 the next night. G is becoming Richards on the mic. I wish he would just be honest. The team needed those wins against NJ or they were "DONE" and now they are DONE.
- Jimmygrazz

i agree. he didn't say anything that wasn't true. didn't blame anyone or anything like that. just stated a harsh truth

He was refering to the "we are done" comments.
- nbartley9

well to be perfectly honest he said "if we dont win these next two games we are done"...Guess what he was right...the bumholes infront of him came out flat loosing 5-2...its a disgrace how poorly they come out some nights.

Nah, I think they have the personnel to compete for a conference title next year if they add a few pieces.

which pieces?
- mydoglicks

Good group of Forwards: Hartnell, Giroux, Voracek, Schenn, Couturier, Simmonds, Read, Talbot

Some solid defensive pieces: Coburn, Grossmann, Timonen, Schenn

Bring in a coach who will cater to the team as well as add some guys via trade and/or free agency like a puck mover and faceoff specialist and you're set.

To be fair, Rick Tocchet said on Twitter yesterday that if he were a GM, he'd be going after Ryan Clowe (over any other player available).

So let's not take anything he says seriously.

I can't stand the way this Madden guy talks shouts. It's like staring straight into a detonating flashbang packed with concentrated stupid.

if that's even true, the only thing bad about the situation is tocchet running his mouth
- FlyerMike18

Like Tocchet has room to talk. He trashed the entire city of Philadelphia, the fans, and the team after he was traded to Pittsburgh. And now he's working here again because he couldn't get a job anywhere else. He's a joke, and essentially a failure at everything he's done since he stopped playing.

A Tweet from the show says Tocchet was on yesterday at 4:30 pm. No quotes anywhere on Twitter from the interview. I'm doubting the legitimacy of your claims. This is Philly. If he said something like that, it would be all over the place by now.
- NickTheKid87

It's not a question of believing what Tocchet said, it's a question of caring about what he says.

Which I don't.

And even if players have grumbled about their lack of respect regarding Breeze or his supposed comments, I would think they'd have enough of their own on-ice issues that they should be addressing rather than waste any of their energy concerning themselves with another player's perceived personality flaws.

true dat.

I listened to the interview, and I don't know if Tock said anything THAT outrageous. It was more of "I don't know" type of answers. Nothing earth shattering.

Also, I've never hear of this Mark Madden guy, but he sounds like a real Richard.

Tocchet on Bryz: "I don't know if they like him as a teammate, I don't know. It just doesn't seem that way and the comment he made if they lose both games to Jersey, 'they're done', I don't know if I would have liked that as a teammate. I think I would have said something or did something in practice. You can't say that, a goalie, that if you lose two games to a team, you know, you're done for the season and they did split but I would have loved to ask him if they lost both games, 'are you done?' and, you know, you just can't do that..."
