Just let them finish good enough to stay out of the top 5 picks. That way they can draft a forward and trade for an established dman. They're not going to overnight become dman develop gurus and I'm skeered that if they finish high enough they'll draft Jones or one of the others then trade him in two years cause the fans and media think he's really Mat Carle.

Agreed. Get Mackinnon and put Coots or Schenn on the block for a D man. Mackinnon trumps those two.

I would like us to get Jones tho if we can. Maybe even trade our 2nd rounder+ to move up into the mid/late first and grab someone like Morrissey who could very well still be on the board.

If they do anything less than 3-1-1, they have to be selling.
