I like physical hockey WITH skill. My 2 favorite players are Roenick and Forsberg. I don't know why people think there is no steroid-abuse in hockey. It is in Every sport. About a 3rd of the league have very little skill. All they do is dump a puck in, hit someone, then hack and whack the goalie. And HOLD all over the ice.

They didn't play great, but this isn't the team the Hawks will have in the playoffs even if there are no trades. Sharp and Hossa back means no Kane double shifting. Rosival is better than Brookbank and he'll be playing as well. Everyone saying they have no chance in a 7 game series is wrong. Not having Hossa hurts a TON along the walls, where he is great. Still hope Stan makes some moves because I am tired of seeing Bolland be disinterested and bad night in and night out

Again...if Bowman fails to do anything and the Hawks don't make it out the WC then have at him......more than likely he is trying to make a move but as we've discussed trades are hard to make when so many teams still believe they are in it.....

Have at him?? we don't make it out of the 1st round again, rocky is gonna have at HIS ASS!!

I wouldn't call trading for Nick Leddy, Oduya, Stalberg, and drafting saad, shaw, kruger, etc. nothing.... He's taking what is in place and working with it, what would you have him do? Could he have made a deal or two here or there, sure, but if you look back to blogs from last summer people were calling for crawford and kaner to be traded, now those ideas would be considered idiotic. The fans are always going to want to make a move or trade someone because they are never satisfied, but if your livelihood was at stake on some of these deals you might be a bit shy on the trigger as well and want to milk as much as possible from the other side. Imagine if he makes a move that seems great at the time and is applauded on this site and others but in the long run turns into a big regret, everyone will still be bashing him to no end and calling him an idiot and calling for his head. Everyone needs to calm down and let him do his job.

Bingo...

...it's one game, mistakes were made and hopefully lessons learned. Great intensity through out. Alot of young players gained experience tonight...

...next.

and scr@w the Ducks, they can win the points race for all I care.

EDIT: Whoever said Bozak isn't the answer is wrong, he would be a perfect 2nd line center. Wins draws, plays tough, just a better player than Bolland at this point. Ecklund has the Hawks and Leafs talking (for what thats worth) I think he'd be a great addition. And I know its not gonna happen just spitballing

Yes if the Hawks don't make it out the first round there will probably be a shake up....but worry about the now. Right now every one is chasing the hawks in points and the trade deadline is a couple of weeks away so I don't understand why you're bitc hing........and what does this have to do with Tallon?....again...put down the Schlitz....

he's got a point bogey! i've always liked the flyers & bruins and their GM's mindset!
look at the last 3 stanleycup winners , big tough teams with skill! 2010 hawks, (thankyou dale tallon!), 2011 bruins, 2012 kings!! so moy is not off base!

- wonthecup10

I didn't here alot about the lack of team toughness during 21-0-3!

They have not loss 3 gmes in regulation because they were out played physically.

Bruins...are beatable...they are not all world....may not even make it the WC finals. Can't stand them and their coach anyway. Bruins had to play 3 gme 7's to win it. Kings just caught fire behind lights out goaltending!

Flyers are a complete mess.

Well, I enjoy Judd Sirrott and how he responds.

Although, I do disagree with his take on Bolland as #2 center. He likes him there, I think Bolland is poor in the role. Judd says Bolland needs to be better at the dot...

...note to everyone, Bolland will NEVER improve at the dot. He is what he's been for years now and if he were going to improve he'd have done it by now.

I'm crossing my fingers that Danault is the real deal, and if he is he can't get here soon enough.

No cool aide....but the Hawks have lost 3 games in regulation this year. As much as he has been bashed in here the reality is.....the team he has put together is pretty darn good...that is a fact. Right now he deserves the benefit of the doubt because he has earned that.....like I said if he fails to add anyone and the Hawks don't make to at least the WC then he deserves to be bashed again.......I still don't know what this loss has to do with Tallon.....

Those are the remaining players that Talon can claim as "his" guys. Eight out of 24.
