Hodgson has been the worst defensive forward on the sabres. Including last night - MCGUIZZY
hes improving from last year I think in a year or 2 should be solid both ways and if not the pipeline should be better by then |

GARTH: Is That Your Grandpa's Jacket? - garth
"PK Subban deserves a pat on the back for committing his stupid and selfish penalty just 17 second into overtime. Subban tried to wreck Mark Pysyk with a careless attempted hip check. His body shot didn't land and PK was sent to the box for high sticking.
To see Subban's protestation of the penalty, you would think that he was the victim of a bad penalty call."
hey Garth did you even bother looking at the replay before you wrote this nonsense, Subban got a phantom call at best its a penalty for attempting a large hit, the player wasnt even touched |

Did you watch the play? Pominville was the reason that goal was scored. Good forechecking caused the bad pass then battled for the puck with the guy and because of that it bounced to Ott in the slot. - Rally_Shots
Yes Pominville was forechecking, but Ott is the one that kept it in at the blue line by beating the Habs winger to the puck. Then Pommer got knocked off the puck (rather easily) and it inadvertently went to Ott who made a great shot. To say Pominville was the reason they scored is a bit of a stretch. Did he forecheck, yes, but if Ott doesn't beat the Hab wigner at the point, that play doesn't happen. Watch it again, most of the work is done by Ott |

I did watch the play, and it was a good forecheck, but he was NOT the reason that goal was scored. |

I did not see very much of him last year but I know he struggled. Hes seems to always be on the ice during a breakdown and I notice him giving up on the defensive side wayy too much |

I hope Ott was auditioning for Scotty Bowman who was in attendance at that game last night. I could see Bolland, or Sharp, or any number of prospects going the other way.
His value will never be higher... |

Enroth is really messing with our chances at a #1 or #2 pick. Can we please leave him on the bench!?!
Winning games when ya only have to score 3 goals isn't that difficult |

it was a bad play not an actual penalty you can watch the replay as many times as you want and its not a penalty but oh well next time he wont go for that hit |

Phantom call for intent to injure ? Montreal got away with alot last night as far as calls but thats how it goes when you play in Montreal. How bout charging if nothing else ? What was the point in running the rookie anyways ? Suban s a puss. |

He's stupid. Plain and simple. He fights team mates, take penalties in OT, sure he's a good player but he is a moron. |

yeah thats why i asked, you just described last year...so i'm assuming since we're still on last year the habs are also in last place in the east huh....
look im not making any excuses for the guy but you dont have to be a homer to simply look at the replay and realize that particular play was not a penalty, just a bad play on his part |

If you go by the book but to me Intent to injure is intent to injure no matter if you succed on the hit or look like a jackass cause your target sidestep d it. |

no actually if you look at the replay, had it been attempt to injure there was no way your player was avoiding that on the head had Subban NOT switched his direction so no it wouldnt be attempt to hit either
i should point out that the ref's job IS to go by the book so basically you agree that there's no penalty there |
