With vanek down....
Do we just suit up gerbe and insert him somewhere? Jumble lines again? - JVince11

I bet you see Staff moved up to line 2. I'll give the guy credit. For what ice time he is getting, he is playing hard, and not sulking. |

Much needed Victory, not to get into the playoff hunt but for the future.I liked the lineup and until Vanek got hurt it worked pretty well.Staffords need to stay on the fourth line until we can trade him.Myers what was he thinking on Montreals last score when he was playing with the puck behind the net afraid to take a hit instead of getting it out and lost it.Every game this guy makes some costly mistake.Suban what a tool trying to send our rookie into another league early in ot.I hope thats adressed the next game. - buffalo 1
Subban does sh!t like that every game. He might be the dumbest player in hockey |

Ott is turning into a modern day Drury. Clutch goals, lots of hits, good at faceoffs, edgy, and he's leading this blind pack of players. Trade pommer, give the C to Ott. - RynoBull
Love Ott. (Loved Drury, but for the record, he wasn't a hitter.)
You can tell that Ott makes some of these guys uncomfortable: Vanek, Pommer, Stafford, etc. They are not used to a guy who plays balls out out every shift, every night with no fear. It kind of unsettles these guys - to see how a pro plays every night - and that's why we should say bye, bye to the rest of le core. |
|
|
|
the question is was it Pommer that made the play or Ott? - RynoBull
Ott finished it, but the play was made by Pominville. |

it's brutal. i don't know why he writes like that. i can't tell if he does it because he thinks it's funny or because he thinks it makes him look badass. |

No thanks. He is the one player I think we can all agree is the fans favorite. |

Its not a beauty contest out there. Enroth looked solid, Ott looked like a leader and Hodgson looked like the truth. 3 pieces to build the future on. - RynoBull
Hodgson has been the worst defensive forward on the sabres. Including last night |

fair enough. just meant that because he's not really a young guy anymore, and if Buffalo is going to deal some assets, he'd fetch a good return. all depends on the course of action the team plans on taking deadline/summer. unless they close the gap to 2-3 points by the deadline. |

Pommer on that first Ott goal looked the best hes looked in a long time. - Rally_Shots
Are you being serious? If so, what exactly did he do besides get knocked off the puck again in a one on one situation. It was just fortunate that Ott was not covered by anyone and the Canadien's player inadvertently directed the puck to him. Pommer didn't do squat on that play. |

No doubt that he would, but he also represents the type of attitude we need on this team. |

I just hope its adressed the next game.It would of been lights out for our rookie had he connected. Kaleta was strangely quiet last night.Rolstons taken some of his heart away.Im a little worried about that. |

Did you watch the play? Pominville was the reason that goal was scored. Good forechecking caused the bad pass then battled for the puck with the guy and because of that it bounced to Ott in the slot. |

if i had to pick id rather have a young player with natural scoring and playmaking ability who needs to work on his defensive game- as opposed to a defensively responsible player who needs to find his scoring touch.
one is easier to improve than the other IMO... |
