You dont give up 2 first round picks for a 1 way player that wont have a supporting cast.

Kessel is like Vanek. Goal scorers that arent stand alone stars. They need others around them to do well. Very streaky players.

its really besides the point. its just so annoyingly frustrating listening to sabres fans whine about how darcy isnt going to do anything at the deadline. the same way we wined last year. and the same way in the offseason.

the guy makes moves. hes never traded away his stars before because hes never had to. make you can SLIGHTLY complain that he hasnt traded FOR a star, but holy poop thats so rare that it is a joke to actually complain about.

everyone wants him gone, i get it, but hes here and hes going to do what he thinks he needs to do to improve the team. whether those are the right or wrong moves is another argument, but hes going to make them.

He's rated as a 4th line talent, but does have some scoring upside... his stats improved every year in Juniors... So MAYBE a 3rd liner
