EK just brought up Roy to Toronto. Interesting option for them. Although on that squad I dont think he will be that affective. - Buffalo--Sabres
If EK brought up Roy to Tornonto, I am guessing anywhere else in the NHL! EK's cred is FUBAR. |

Problem is, 3 of those 5 have NMCs (1 of which I believe is a full NTC in Regehr).
EDIT: Looks like Regehr's is "just" an NMC as well - VanekForC
You do realize a NMC is more restrictive than a NTC? Most NTC's aren't full NTC's anyways, just partial. Now of days guys went after NMC's rather than just full NTC's so that way they could not ever get sent to the AHL, etc from their current club without their permission. |

I've been clarmoring for years for this team to have a real backup that they actually play and actually wins games. Its more fun. You cant just keep riding the same guy, no matter who it is. Its not how a team works. |

Would you welcome Derek Roy back to the Sabres?
It just may happen.
Roy will become a UFA this July. Roy is in the final year of his 6 year, $24 million contract that he signed in Buffalo many moons ago.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Roy contract extension talks havent begun yet between his agent and Stars GM, Joe Nieuwendyk.
Roy was traded to Dallas last July in exchange for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy.
Roy and Lindy Ruff didn't see eye to eye, hence, the centre was dealt last Summer.
Since Ruff is gone, wouldn't it make sense to bring Roy in to add veteran depth tpo the centre ranks?
Go (frank) yourself, Garth. |

NMC won't matter. They will jump for joy to get moved to a contender at this point. |

Yeah, problem is, Ruff was a 1 goalie kinda guy. Maybe Rolo is a swinger, but I doubt it. He road Leggio and put him away wet way too ofter in the AHL. |

Its not a beauty contest out there. Enroth looked solid, Ott looked like a leader and Hodgson looked like the truth. 3 pieces to build the future on. - RynoBull
What game were you watching?
Hodgson did not have a solid game at all. He didnt register any offensive points and had 1 shot on goal. Defensively the guy was a time bomb with turnover after turnover and it eventually led to the first goal of Montreal's comeback. |

Coho had a terrible game in his own end. Those wicked ugly turnovers need to stop ASAP! |

Garth is totally trolling for hits suggesting that Roy could end up back here. Dirty trick, sir. |

Ott is turning into a modern day Drury. Clutch goals, lots of hits, good at faceoffs, edgy, and he's leading this blind pack of players. Trade pommer, give the C to Ott. - RynoBull

Plus, I think that pay them to trade them. When Reger got shipped to Buffalo, Peg's flew out to Calgary with a bucket of Chicken wings and a Garbage can of Cash. |

The guy has a 2 goal game and now he's the best player on the team? comparing him to drury? Ott doesnt crack the top line on any other team except buffalo. - alexthegr8
You're wrong. He played with Modano, and that's nothing to sneeze at. To keep up with Modano, you've got to have at least a little something.
Ott is the most complete player on this team. Hits, PK, PP, fights, faceoffs, leadership, great attitude. The perfect teammate and a damn good hockey player. |

Only here would he be on the 1st PP unit. I love Ott, but he's 30 and a 3rd liner. He shouldn't be an untouchable |

The thought of the returns that could come back for Regehr, Pominville, Vanek, Miller have me excited for a Buffalo rebuild, and then I remember Darcy is our GM. Regehr could be the sought after D-man playoff teams are looking for. I honestly can say I think a majority of fans wouldn't mind if all four of those players got traded and the organization says they are steering in a new direction. |

Roy to Toronto a possibility now? - Buffalo--Sabres
Why not, they have McCarthur, had Connolly, get Roy, maybe we can fool them into taking Gerbe/Hecht somehow ? |
