EK keeps saying that LA is in on Iggy... Who would we want from them?

Toffoli?

I'm just trying to say that something major needs to happen, cuz whatever is going on now doesn't seem to be working. Also, I'm picking on Backlund as he keeps getting injured, and he isn't that tough, and after watching Tanguay get knocked around this season . . .

Here is my short rant:
There is a reason why Kings, Hawks, and Ducks kick ass this year. It is because they have more than one guy in the top 6 who will drop the gloves and fight like a man. I keep reading that people are hard up to trade the only top 6 forward on our beloved team that will drop the gloves. Pisses me off to see Iginla fighting young punks like he did last night because no-one else in the top 6 will do it. Our opponents (the ones that are true cup contenders) know this, and can easily out grit us. Most conversion here is focused on trading Iginla for another softy/skilled player that can't grow hair on his face yet which will only help in the steam-rolling we keep seeing. We need to trade some our softies (most of the top 6) for gritty/big guys who can play in the top 6. I'm sick of seeing the Flames, who were one of the toughest teams 5 years ago, getting out muscled.

Everyone keeps saying Bernier but that they would want a 1st from us as well. That makes no sense, especially because others say LAK will keep Bernier as Quick has been meh this year.

So, yea, I guess Toffoli, but I'm not sold on him.

If the Flames traded Iggy + any pick for Bernier people would burn down the Dome.

OVER-PAID. I don't think he has even scored a goal yet this year. He's worse than Iggy for slow starts, especially after he signed his massive contract.

Although I know you were kidding.

So you're proposing Iggy for Kassian?? What else do you have? The problem is that finding guys that are like Iggy of old, skilled and tough as nails/willing to scrap, are harder to find than top C and top pairing D.

This is Pathetic. Our 4th line and Iginla. Trade whoever isn't on this list to get two or three more people willing to join this list.

Muzzin, Pearson and a pick?
- Lahey

I like Muzzin, but I don't think the Kings would want to move him.

I'd ask for Dwight King too, he's kind of a gangly looking skater, but he seems to know where to go to get himself in scoring position.

Muzzin's looked good this year in the games I've seen. Pearson seems like he'd be ok. Not the worst idea I've heard. I would just hope for more. As O-G said, it doesn't really excite.

You need to get a young roster player in return for Iggy.

or is this more to the liking

Stoll, Penner, Clifford and a 4th

GlenX, Stempniak, Cammi, Jbo, Gio, whatever someone will take for a top 6 guy who will fight. This is the rebuild we need.

Edit: K, I'm done ranting now.

I agree, but shouldn't the focus be a top flight forward, ideally a centre? Or I guess once Iggy is gone we tank and draft a centre...

The kid could actually still be pretty good! Especially if he can put on 30-40 pounds.

But it's never bad to have too much depth at Center.

Guess Perry is off the market now. They are out there but I'm not too well versed in other team's prospects to know who they are. Don't we have one with Aliu?; who hasn't really been given a chance in a top 6 roll this year, even though he did well playing with Cammi last year at the end of the season.

I'm losing faith in Feaster.

I'd like to see Aliu back up here in a top 6 role. Comeau's glide by in front of the net last night should earn him some time in the pressbox for being lazy.
