Just got a lot of info. on what the Hawks are up to. Rumor blog coming in the next few days. Names have been mentioned here in the past. Both of the main targets would fill big needs and really help this team.

Gauthier has no friends in Montreal. He would need Scotty with him just to get into Schwartz's for a smoked meat sandwich and cherry coke. - RickJ

Looks like Jarred Tinordi has assumed a position on the Habs defence. That leaves a few Dmen sitting twiddling their thumbs. Don't think Montreal has much up front to give up easily that we'd want other than Eller. So, I'm stumped for now.

If Bolland's gone, or really even if he's not, Sharp should be playing 2C. He's got the 2nd best F/O% on the team, and he's already had his big pay day so there's really no need for him to continue to pad his stats as a sniping winger. I don't care what he was promised when he signed his extension, he should do whatever is best for the team. Unless and until a better 2C is acquired, that means Sharp at C.

Agreed. Unless the Hawks are acquiring a #1b Center , Sharp should be center.

Stan will not be able to pull the wool over Bergevin's eyes, he knows the players to well in Chicago. It'll have to be a need for need FAIR deal for both. All while not messing up the current successful rosters.
I would be shocked if a deal goes through of significant value.
