I was watching a local community sports show here last night. One guy had Hal /Mon the other guy had Hal/Que

I'm not a big fan of Québec's defense, not as good as last season. They have a good goaltender and with Grigo you never know. They added lots of depth at the deadline.

That being said, Moncton would eat Québec alive in a 7 game series.

Like QP said i would add Val d'Or to the mix, don't remember his name but their goalie is pretty good and has been red hot lately. Mantha with a 50 goals season

Tremblay, he's alright. They are the oldest team in the league, and one of the biggest too, very physical team. And in the playoffs, that matters.

It's rather a capitalist reason, teams need those games, they are usually full-house, and some places even sell the tickets for higher prices than regular season games.

One advantage Halifax has is their 2nd line is as good or better than most other team 1st lines

I think so too. One of the guys I mentioned had a Mon/Que meeting along the way with Mon. winning.

They do a bit better than that

A few teams would have been dead already if not for those generous playoff spots. You could argue that they shouldn't have teams then, but that's another subject

It's a development league. Who cares?

That being said, at this point, why not let all teams get in the playoffs?

Because 18 is not a squareable number, unless you give byes in the first round.

CFL territory, and when 16/18 teams make it why have a regualr season. Besides the money point.

Nice spin, but providing the possibility of equal bonus revenue to all teams involved is not Capitalist.

Talking about huge i went to watch Gauthier last friday and really wasn't impressed by the big kid. Not very fast and he plays like a 5'10 forward. I was much more impressed by Mantha a few weeks ago, the kid can skate, sick shot and good hands. And he has all the time to fill his frame.
