But no he's not done with the OHL, he's signing an Amateur tryout contract for the remaining of the season. Phillip Danault did the same with Chicago's affiliate last season.

You can't play in the AHL before your 20 years old hockey year if you're drafted out of the CHL usually. But if your team is done, you can sign an ATO and play in the AHL.
