Cause he's too expensive..... We are killing Kennedy for having 4 goals and making 2 million a year so why not acquire a 3 goal 1.75 million dollar player who we have to give up a mid round pick to get?

Shero wouldn't give him that kind of money 2 years ago so I really can't see why he would want him back for what he brings to the table especially when that 2 million can go to Letang.

Shero wouldn't be brining in Talbot to score goals, as that wasn't his role on the team with his first stint with the Pens. The hole for the pens right now is a 3rd/4th line player and talbot would surely fix that hole. yeah, his contract is a little steep but perhaps shero underestimated his value. i'm not saying shero in interested in paying his 1.75 to come back, but there have been rumors that the penguins are interested.

Also, my arguement wasn't that the pens should go after Max...I just said I'd rather see him or clowe in a pens uniform than i would morrow.

We may get to see plenty of what Despres can bring in Letang's spot now. Not sure how long that will be for but if he were to get traded you'd have to think right now Despres is his replacement.

Clowe, maybe. He's injured right now(shoulder). Morrow absolutely. We have an issue with the 4th line for sure. Adams and Vitale have been good enough. Glass is a little better but not quite what we thought he could be. Morrow or Clowe would add something to either the 3rd or 4th line. If you can get either for a similar cheap price as Talbot---YOU DO IT!

Malkin for sure. We have 5 quality D prospects and Despres is already showing great improvement in the 2 years he has been here. Malkin also won't command much more of a raise (500k-1 mil) while Letang will get atleast a 3 mil raise.

If we did just so happen to trade Letang, it needs to be at the draft. Get a top 5 overall pick plus some.

If we trade Letang I'd hope it would be for Eberle or Hall.

Doubt it.

Difference is that's like our whole team. You guys losing Malkin would be like us losing Parise, and say what you want but the Devils are pretty much in the same spot they were at this point last year with Marty being out for half of it, plus the other difference is we lost Zach for nothing

If we lost Letang it would be like them losing Fayne.

I'd do that trade now! Draw up the papers! I think Edmonton is getting a bit smarter though. I'm not saying they wouldn't be tempted by it, cause they did draft Yakupov when they should've gone defense IMO but they apparently wouldn't deal Eberle, Hall or RNH unless they were getting Malkin and/or Crosby too.

That is a very unlikely scenario. We would need Joe N. to be the GM of STL for that to possibly happen.

I am not a fan of paying a price that high for anyone, Shero is the king of Low Risk High Reward. Benden Morrow is the right fit.

That is way more in line with Shero's MO. Do the Blues want to move him still though?

I have to side with my main man reformed Bartley on this one. Stewart would be nice but i'd rather upgrade line 3/4 on the cheap.

Wow talk about a hard question, you can really make a case for both guys.

Tanger gets better every single year and really no one in the league does what he does.

Somedays Geno is the 2nd best player in the world.

Wow is that hard, great poll.

The new Bartley reminds me of the new Matt Cooke...
I think I want to see the Bartley of old in here!!!

Not saying Parise is even close to as good as Malkin, just a similar impact to the team I think. And Fayne is terrible...

Wow---I just don't see it. Last year maybe. Right now the 3rd and 4th lines are more important. In some ways I would love it. Others I'm a bit unsure. I've made it no secret that Stewart is a favorite of mine. He'd be our more talented version of Wayne Simmonds.

Stewart would be good, but they will not want to pay him past next year. For that reason and the uncertainty in his contract I doubt it happens.
