Still waiting for someone to tell me how he's going to prevent 3 or 4 goals a game regardless of what we give up. I don't understand the Iginla/Fleury correlation to winning. If Fleury is so bad how does Iginla help that?
These are the questions that keep me up at night. - canadianpenfan
rest easy tonight! if he helps us score more, say 5 goals a game, then fleury can give up 4. if we score 6 goals... fleury can give up 5! seriously though, iginla might help the team stop from imploding like they did last year. crosby certainly wasn't able to lead the team, nor was malkin.... philly got into their heads... maybe , just maybe, an vet addition, iginla or otherwise, helps us the pens avoid looking like total dweebs this year |

seems like a good time to move some of surplus for a piece or two and go for it. relatively healthy... i hope if letang is ok, team is hot a poop, fleury is on one of his peaks (though the timing scares me, it might be valley time come playoffs) we have cap space, I could go on and on. we have so many assets and it appears to be a buyers market this year as there are multiple sellers and many teams on the bubble that may be wary of making a big splash. you give up even two of our top d prospects and you still have one of, if not the, best d-prospects in the league |

That disallowed tampa goal would have been goal of the year had that counted that was insane |

I agree.
This game ended closer than it should have. When I was watching the first period it looked like the Flyers were skating in mud. |

Goal was complete rubbish. Fumbled the puck and got lucky drawing the goalie away on the goal line. |

I was 17 when I delivered a pizza to Jagoffs mothers house in USC. He answered the door and, mind you he had just signed a multimillion doller deal, he tipped me 1 dollar. ONE! jerk |

How regretful would we be if we trade one of our d-prospects and exactly this one manages to have the best NHL carreer out of all of them? Scares me just to think about it. |

After seeing Tampa play tonight, there are some pieces that I wouldn't mind coming our way - Crombeen has some spunk to him; Thompson would be a solid third or fourth line guy; Pyatt is the same ... Tyrell can fly. Of course, I'm a big Purcell fan, but he ain't coming. Would love to have him. He isn't a rental; can score and has some grit to him. |

nature of the business..... if even half of the 6 top prospects become regulars we will be in great shape... but I think people get this misconception that our top 7 in 2 years is gonna be letang, morrow, harrington, pouliot, doumalin, maata, despres. it would be suicide to do that and have no vet depth. thus, moving one or two probably is gonna have to happen eventually |

Some might say "keep them to trade for long term help". But sometimes we'll have to gamble on a player that we think will help us at the moment. |
