Yeah I guess....but consistency is a huge factor. Which Marc Andre Fleury is going to show up? - The-O-G
Thats why I want another veteran leader for the team... iginla fits the bill but is the most expensive option, would love to see a morrow or maybe a prospal get brought in. someone to help keep the penguins heads in place if they get flyered again |

Brad Richards is not playing very good hockey right now. He used to have a lethal release and now he just doesn't shoot. |

Confidence is everything. That team is lacking it right now to say the least. |

Does trading for Iginla really improve the Pens chances at the cup relative to what the asking price is? No. So much luck goes into winning it. No move "guarantees" you a cup. |

Still waiting for someone to tell me how he's going to prevent 3 or 4 goals a game regardless of what we give up. I don't understand the Iginla/Fleury correlation to winning. If Fleury is so bad how does Iginla help that?
These are the questions that keep me up at night. |

This is an ooold story but anyone know who the real guy is? Won't paste the whole article here but I have my guess already. (link if anyone would like to read it all: http://apolyton.net/showt...ho-this-gay-NHL-player-is)
"So apparently there's a bunch of gay hockey players (go figure), but there's an article that had a closeted current (as of 2005) NHL player interviewed by Eric Anderson for the SUNY Press
In the article, they give him a fictitious name (Aaron Barnes), but he reveals some information that makes finding out just who it is an interesting exercise:
He is Canadian
He has won a Stanley Cup
His father played professional hockey (not necessarily the NHL)
He had a full-ride scholarship to an American university (played NCAA Division I hockey)
There was "no internet" when he was a teenager (I presume this means he was a teenager in the 1990s or earlier)
He is obviously not married and has no kids.

He will be bought out. The New York Rangers - where goal scorers go and die.

Oneonta (my dear friend), I really doubt it. Richards is a great playmaking C. I find it easier to let Tortorella go and change the system. |

Aren't we always?
You know what we would have gotten if Iginla scored 2 goals in every game of the playoffs?
A game 7. |

Sit back and watch. Massive changes to that team if it doesn't make the play-offs and I'm not talking just coach. |

You don't spend all that money; bring in a Nash; trade away all your depth to not make the play-offs. Someone will be made a scapegoat on the ice. The question is will it be Richards or Gaborik.

I find it easier to see them trading Gaborik. Richards & Nash form a great canadian duo. They obviously should hold on to Callahan & Stepan. They have some interesting pieces on the back end as well...they are not playing well, that's it. They should do a Tortorella for Laviolette swap |
