Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) tweeted at 6:40 PM on Mon, Mar 18, 2013:
No surprise, but Andrej Sustr, 6-foot-8 Univ of Nebraska-Omaha junior dman (UFA), has officially decided to leave school/field NHL offers.
This guy was in the Pens prospect camp this summer, and former teammate of Pens prospects Jason Megna and Josh Archibald.
I want all of the defensemen lol - rival22

And you're telling me I don't know anything about the east? - The-O-G
I'm not sure you read my post carefully enough. I used the term false hope. That is what Calgary management has been living off of since your last play-off series. You have been close enough at the deadline for management to hold onto your assets and you have failed to make it every time. This year, you are in the same spot - close enough to make it. Will Calgary do exactly what it has done in the past?
Again, I hope you keep him hoping this will be the year. |

The problem is we don't want the asking price is exactly. I don't think that is a whole lot to ask anyways.
What if the Bruins were willing to do it? Would you rather him go there? - The-O-G
With healthy line-ups...
Boston (at their best) even with Iginla << Pittsburgh (at their best) |

This kid is a stick! 200 pounds only. No wonder they didn't say his weight.
He improved every year: 9, 17 and 25 points each year. - Orpik44
I've seen him play ... he is a PROjECT |

The school lists him at 225 for whatever that's worth. |

Of course a Flames wants to trade Iginla right now. They'll get a roster player, a prospect and a pick. Then 2 months later Iginla will resign with Calgary.
That is why every Flame fans makes the comment of "Iginla guarantees a cup for Pittsburgh."
I'm glad that Shero is the Gm.
Also a 9 game win streak sure quiets the "Fire Bylsma" crowd. |

uhm anytime I hear the name "project", at least in basketball, I run from it. Not a big fan of players who just have the size but no awareness at a sport. I'm not talking about Sustr before anyone throw any rocks. Don't know his game at all. |

Yeah? So if he was 6' 2", he wouldn't be on anyone's radar?
Well, with all our other prospects, we have time to wait lol. |

You seem to think I am somehow convincing Flames management this will be "the year"....couldn't be further from the truth, and 90% of Flames fans would agree with me. |

Fleury goes as the D goes, like most goaltenders. The way we've been playing, if we keep up the same level of team d, he'll be just fine |

Dude, give it a rest. MAF looked bad last year against the Flyers, but he wasn't the lone ranger that looked bad. If the defense gave 60% in that series, Pittsburgh advances.

Iginla is a western guy. From Edmonton. I'd say there's a chance he'd go back to Calgary...but 3 years with another team is not unrealistic. |

Martin is playing great but for this kind of dough, if it was a matter of keeping Letang and Geno, I think they would do that too...or just trade him. You can always find a team in need of d-man. - Orpik44
I agree... they would trade him... on the last year of his contract he should be movable, maybe at the draft for a pick |
