How about Kulemin? Is he having a better year than Grabovski? Those are two guys I like from the Leafs.

From what i've seen from Grabovski last year, he'd do a marvelous job playing on a line with Malkin and Neal.

He sucks. His offense has dried up, and he is a small, average shutdown center.

Tyler Bozak has a MUCH better chance at turning into this shut-down Centre that you speak of. He's already better defensively than Grabo, better face-off man, and plays much better a long the boards. I don't see either becoming a true shut-down guy though.

I remember when Burke got fired, a lot of people (Insiders at tsn, ect) said Nonis will make a splash to make his mark on the team.

Not sure why i'd get banned for that...I just truly think he's crazy if he thinks Grabovski is going to miracously turn into a defensive wizard and bring us great bang for our buck at 5.25mil. He has 60 point upside on the very high-end, and he doesn't play a great defensive game. He's a #3 Centre on most good teams, and sorry but #3 Centre's don't get 5.25mil a year.

Starting to really believe the only hope for this team is to have a terrible season and get a top player that way. If not, Toronto is going to be stuck with guys like Bozak and Grabovski as our "top players" for years to come. At least I can root for them to make the playoffs this year, since even tanking probably doesn't get them the top 3 picks.
