The leafs have a better track record of missing the playoff than making them. Even though they were in a very similar spot last season.

I think they'll win one of them. NEED to honestly. And taking both Tampa and Buffalo are mandatory.

because of the soft schedule coming up, I've been dismissing the losing streak a bit. It happens. Stopping it is what's important. So far they still have 10 points in last 10 games, so for a losing streak, that isn't so bad.

But if they don't beat Tampa and Buffalo, then morale will be even lower, and 2 games against Boston gets more daunting. Losing streak could hit 9 or 10 real fast, and that would probably be the season right there.

ya I know, never liked it, cause sure they could lose these 4 then win 5 in a row and be fine. But winning 5 in a row becomes less likely when you've got low morale after a 10 game losing streak.

These are 2 very beatable teams if Leafs play their game.

i'd say that if at the beginning of the season you told me we'd be sitting in a playoff spot right now and just getting lupul back i'd of taken that deal in heartbeat

Great for Lupul to have a start like that too. He clearly had some rust at the beginning of season, wasn't a great start for him and obviously injury makes it worse.

And THIS says it all. The defense is all out of sorts currently. Nothing like they played the first half of the season.

It's been frustrating to say the least. Although I do try to remind myself that 3 of those games were against Pitts and Boston - and they played really well in both. One horrific game against the Jets and then one horrific period against the Jets. No excuses though ....that can't happen.

They need another top 4 dman who can keep things simple.

And as well as they've played it'd be nice if the goalies could squeeze a puck in their glove.
