With all due respect to Getzlaf and Perry, who are both very good players, I really don't think these are great deals.

They are very good but not Crosby/Stamkos good. If you look at history most players start declining around age 30 and these guys are late 20s so in the back half of their deals they will probably not be dominant players.

Not sour grapes, would have loved Perry on the Leafs but too much cash in my opinion.

They are very good but not Crosby/Stamkos good. If you look at history most players start declining around age 30 and these guys are late 20s so in the back half of their deals they will probably not be dominant players.
