Yeah if they were challenging for the Cup this season, and not trying to overcome defiicts on the front & back and the deal takes rangers top the final four, you can justify it.

I understand that Richard's name has come up with lower Cap teams asking...it may be a deal that is undone in the next 18 months....

Thank you;I just looked at where the Rangers are in the standings... the same point total as Columbus.. Maybe Nash leaving Columbus isn't that big of a deal after all?

As with other games where we'd like to see some revenge. 'Hawks up by 3 late in the 3rd; Bollig takes out after someone. Take the 2/5/10 and be done with it.

I mean early, doesn't have to be Bollig , could be Shaw or Bickell , or Carcillo if he is in the line up, or Brookbank , not sure Colorodo has a Bollig type player in their line up .

One mention of Toronto and hawks scouting each other and Onatrio folks are asking for Nick Leddy and launching Bozak for minor leaguers.

I think Leddy will be signed or matched but it may impact further player signings, if an outside offer was to float in. More and more teams are not going to attempt RFA signings imo.

Yeah, maybe they could trade Jimmy Hayes back to Toronto for Brad Ross (original trade humor)

This is more about an affortable vet who wins faces off and plays on the PK.

its become very evident watching him finally move to a different team that Rick Nash is NOT a good team player

Pretty much just the team does everything they can to get him the puck and he tries to do everything on his own when its on his stick.

Gets caught shifting too long all the time too and takes bonehead penalties when puck gets taken away from him because he tries to pull several moves on trios of defenders

I'd love to see the Hawks take some shots at Landeskug, Stastny, and O'byrne. Unfortunately, they are not the Bruins - who always have each others backs. Will say the Hawks were better this year than the last 2 though.

As far as the Avs having a Bollig type. They have Patrick Bordelieue who is quickly becoming one of the top heavyweights in the game. He is also one of the few players I have seen beat Bollig multiple times in the AHL (see hockeyfights.com).

If the Avs com out running Kane and Toews the Hawks need to respond this game. Either fight or light up the net. Both would be acceptable.

That Rangers team has to be the biggest disappointment this year. Nash was always overrated and selfish. Without getting to the playoffs and making a run I think Torts is a goner and that team may get blown up.

Prediction - 3 coaches who think/act they invented the game will be canned this year - Torts, Laviolette, and DBAG #1 Vigneault.

Yes, 5min remaining IIRC. So let's just say Bollig does his thing in the 14th minute...

I get a bit leary of star players getting taking advantage of when there's tough guys on the bench for the 'Hawks.

I picked Bollig because his 8-9 mins TOI and skillset are most easily replaced should he get a suspension.

Nashville doesn't score enough goals so I don't think they make it, Phoenix has a similar issue but we say that every year and they still manage to crack the top 8 so I'm skeptical of counting them out, however then you gotta talk about a team like San Jose, Vancouver/Minnesota, or Detroit not making it and I just can't see them falling out of that top 8. As far as Edmonton goes, I still think they are a year or two and a big body or two away from getting into the playoffs because as it stands now when the stretch run comes along and the games are nasty and more tightly checked I would take a gritty, experienced team like San Jose or Detroit to find the points they need before Edmonton. Just my opinion

I think NSH and PHX implode. Weber gets moved in the OS. SJ could get in with Niemi standing on his head. LA definitely in. DET in but no threat. STL in. VAN out unless they change coaches soon.
