Great power play zone entry by Briere. Skate it right down the middle into high traffic. I am sure that will work. Dude thinks he is Jagr.

More of the same ol' crap. Bad turnover, no back pressure from the forwards, and a missed coverage by the D. Classic weak first goal that will have them chasing the game. All because they are too stupid and/or too stubborn to change the way they play. Hard to watch it happen over and over and over again. Very frustrating.

Briere's contract will be cheap to buy out does this make him actually tradable?
- FrankDrebbin

He'll have value to contenders regardless because of his playoff experience...just don't expect 1st rounders and top prospects.

Is there any particular negative to sending Couturier down to let him get his game back in order? I expected some regression this year, but not to this extent.

2nd is as good as first in this draft. Unlike 2007.

If #2 ends up better than #1, it wouldn't be the first time:

Anywhere in the top 5 means getting a great player. Top three almost certainly means getting a borderline super star

Yep. When it keeps happening over and over again like this, you have to really wonder what is going on with the coach. Either he's not asking them to play differently, or he's not able to get his message through to the players. Not sure which, but nothing seems to be changing.
