Wasn't a big fan of Burn After Reading.

To me, the joy of TBL was that it wasn't trying to be quirky - it just was. The film itself was a perfect reflection of the characters - it just did what it did, completely unaware (or unconcerned) of how the outside world would perceive it.

No, I kind of mentally wrote them off from the playoff hunt after losing all of the "must win" games they've been losing. Wins against the Albany Devils and a "dead team walking" Sabres bunch didn't impress me.

A win tonight and some time off and playing .700 hockey after the break, and some help from other teams......

I'm just saying that if you are looking to lop off or relocate 3-4 franchises, Nashville doesn't belong on the list.

And according to Forbes, they lost about $3.4 million last year. So with the new financial structure of the league from the CBA, heck, you might even see a profit in Nashville this year.

Put another way, it's a very solid "new" market - they've done a great job of creating hockey fans from a base of zero.

I think that they're absolutely pissed at the Flyers and Holmgren and considering that Weber is basically worth a ton, they'll have plenty of interested teams. I still think that the Flyers would have to top any other offers by a wide margin.

Did you ever see RKO 281? It's a movie about the war behind Citizen Kane. I only watched it because I'm a big Orson Welles fan.

Malkovich plays screenwriter Herman Mankiewitz. He's an alcoholic, kind of hanger on, who exists only as a sycophant with his friends. But he's inspired by Welles to bring his story about Hearst to the screen.

Malkovich does a brilliant job with the character.

On the other hand... Homer did Nashville a favor. The Flyers did the negotiations for Nashville. All Nashville had to do is sign away, and they locked up their 1# defenseman for years (which he may not have don't if the negotiations were with the Preds only). Sure the dollar amount was crazy, but it would have been crazy regardless. The contract if Nashville had negotiated may have dragged out, shorter, for more yearly dollars. Sure, Nashville will play up the taboo no-no of offer sheets, but they still may make a move if its a good deal.

I won't miss any games with this bunch if only because they have so much young talent. You do want to watch it mature.

This isn't like 2006 where I hated everything until they got Scottie Upshall, Coburn, etch.

Should make the Flyers game in Nashville next season interesting.

I think the realignment plan is pretty awful because of the unbalanced conferences, and because TB and FLA should be in the Atlantic instead of Pittsburgh and Columbus. But I do like that the Flyers will play every Western conference team twice.

Honestly, he's a lot like Nik Grossmann. Big, good defensive defenseman. Not exactly what the Flyers need, but he's tough as nails, maybe even better than Big Nik

He's that type of defenseman, but he's just not good anymore. Has been the Sharks worst defenseman all year - by a longshot.

Big, slow and immobile turnstile. Last thing the Flyers need.
