you must not have watched a lot of Kings games last year.....or the year before.

Sure he isnt having his best year this year, but Miller has been that good since 09-10. The ONLY year Miller had a GAA under 2.53.

It started at the end of Nolan's first year, 1996. I was there and it was awesome. The team finished below .500, but played balls out every night. If anyone messed with a guy on the Sabres, the remaining four guys on the ice would jump in, every single time.

The city loved that team. The crowds were loud, every night. Ray, May, Barnaby, Boughner, Varada - a tough, team oriented crew. I went to about a dozen games that year and even though they lost more than they won, the fans loved that team (repeating myself).

The next year they beat the Sens in 7 games in the first round. Plante scored the game winner in OT. Pretty effing wild that night. I still remember the guys jumping off the bench after he scored. Audette stopped, turned back and hugged Nolan.

They lost to Philly in the next round and Nolan never coached another game for the Sabres. That summer Quinn fired Muckler and hired Darcy who low-balled Nolan, and then hired Lindy.

I'm well aware of the fact pattern. The bolded part is a problem. While most teams fall in love with teams that win championships, we fall in love with guys that simply try really hard. I'm sick of losing. I want championships. I want stars capable of bringing a cup to Buffalo. If you don't win, you fail. That should be the standard. That's how it is in cities that are accustomed to championships. That's how it is with any franchise that knows how to win championships, from the front office to the fanbase. I'm sick of the loser mentality in this city. The only way Buffalo can get to the "big time" is by acting "big time", and you don't do that by falling in love with teams such as those in the Nolan years.

I'd only do it if we could get very good return for Miller...and I dont think we can.
- Homer

i dont think we can at the deadline- teams that are in it dont need a goalie that bad. but the draft is another story.

depending on how the year/offseasn plays out i could see chi, col, det, edm, nj, nyi, phi, phx, sj, stl, tam, to, and was all with a potential need in net.

Its possible they do, I just wouldnt. I dont wanna suck any more life or passion out of this team that lacks both.
- Homer

Man I will be PISSED as hell if we trade Ott on deadline day. We would have a get a major haul in return

We keep going around and around on this, but I've still yet to see your plan to get these star players you need to be a Champion.

well kassian was moved because of foligno, and maybe they knew he wasnt as good as advertised.

RR has made several mind bottling decisions. and the fact that he sounds exactly like darcy prolly gets the boys pretty pumped before the games!!!

He had multiple games in the playoffs where he faced less than 22 shots. That's a cake walk. He's not very good. This season where they have been playing looser defense has been telling to how good he really is

Thats what he was trying to say.I was looking forward to seeing K do what he does best get under Ovies skin. The coach was busy making a point and less worried about winning or how to win.

IMO McNabb seems like the perfect player to trade!

Big young d-man who hits and has a huge upside and could be a big part of our future. After all Darcy STILL believes that we can win with these (frank)s and is going to retool the roster a little, so poop lets trade McNabb
