Jack Campbell (born January 9, 1992) is an American ice hockey goaltender currently playing with the Texas Stars of the AHL. Campbell was one of the top goaltenders eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, ranked second among North American goaltenders both in Central Scouting's midterm and final rankings.
- st. bruno[1] Campbell was drafted in the first round by the Dallas Stars, 11th overall and was the first goaltender taken in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He was also drafted 170th overall, by HC Dinamo Minsk, in the 7th round of the 2010 KHL Junior Draft.[2]

I kind of like the notion of having Bernier and Makarov in Buffalo as our tandem in about 2-3 years.
- JVince11

if you could draw up the perfect replacement for miller it would be bernier. young but not too young. served his time as an apprentice to an elite goalie. ready to take the next step. wont cost 6mil. if he is a bust- by the time you are ready t move on from him the prospects may be ready...

reminds me of when kiprusoff left nabakov's shadow in SJ to take over in calgary.

buffalo should do whatever it takes to get him...

We could probably get a 1st.

Yes I'm serious

- sbroads24

probably....a late first. So a guy who may or may not play in 4-5 years. Not interested.

whatever it takes is a strong statement for an unproven goalie.

Why would we resign him for a rebuild? I know everyone loves watching him play but he should in no way shape or form be untouchable IMO

never said he was untouchable, IMO nobody is, but I still wouldnt move him for a late first and I say late because teams that would offer a first would be teams that think they are a piece away from going deep.

You still have to have some vets around even if youre rebuilding, he'd be a good one to have. Plus he has another year on his deal.

Also who said we are rebuilding? I know we want them too, that doesnt mean Darcy see's it that way.

How can you be overrated when your team won the Cup in large part because how well you played?

Its possible they do, I just wouldnt. I dont wanna suck any more life or passion out of this team that lacks both.

I agree 100%. Trading Ott would just be the ultimate buzz kill on the ice, in the locker room and in the stands. Just watch last nights game. All we had was Ott.
