It's simple

Hasek got further with less talent than Miller has with more

Still no cup, am I correct? all that other crap means nothing. Cups are all that matters and we have none, with or without Hasek and Miller.

While I'd like to have a Cup and that is the ultimate goal, sports mean more to me than just that

We need to trade all of the big 3 if possible....

Vanek
Pommer
Miller

in that order of importance of needing to be dealt....

Kaleta is 10x better on the ice than Gerbe is at this point....

I will give Hecht credit that he is not horrible to be on the ice for defensive skills.. but if we want to score... than we either need to have Hecht OR Porter.... but not both...

It'd be so nice to have a third center who is known to score a ton of points.. .poop.. maybe someone who is young and needs to learn on the fly.. perhaps a center of the future if you will.... now where could we find one of those..

- JVince11

55 and 42 play but 36 and 25 don't.

I doubt you see all 3 gone, if any.

Oh I don't disagree. I was more referring how absurd it is that people are whining over Kaleta's benching. It doesn't matter. He's not one of their top players. "But. But. But he tries really hard" isn't a reason to get upset over it. If your top players aren't effective, then it doesn't matter how hard you work.

It was the first season under coach Ted Nolan and the last for the Sabres at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Nolan brought an exciting brand of hockey to Buffalo. During his coaching tenure, Buffalo was referred to as the "hardest-working team in hockey"

The teams that win cups have a "winning is all that matters" mentality. We haven't had that here for a long time, if ever. And that's the problem.

IMO Pommer & Miller need to go 1st.

Pommer because we just can't have him be captain. Plus, his play is lagging. He's getting lazy

Miller for his piss poor attitude.

I'd trade Vanek too but I need to move Miller & Pommer

Agree, we need a fresh attitude within this team and Pegula should have fixed that problem when he bought it not give an incompetent GM more control and more money.

The organization should definitely have that attitude.

I'm just saying that personally, there is more to it for me than just that. I'm not gonna ignore everything Hasek did here just because he didn't win a cup with the Sabres

Start with Miller get a serviceable team friendly goalie (Biron type) Then put a really sound team first team in front of him.

If we trade 2 of the big 3 , then Pommer and Miller go. If 1 of the big 3 were to get traded, you trade Vanek. Vanek was awful yet again and has 3 goals in his last 15 games. He gets you the biggest return. Take the phone calls Darcy and Make a move

The last season in the Aud they didn't make the playoffs, which again shows the problem with this team and it's mentality to begin with. Looking with fondness on a team of losers is exactly how not to win championships. I know for a fact that it didn't become the marketing slogan until 1998. It may have been used unofficially by fans, but that means nothing.

As others have already stated, I too would choose Miller and Pommer as going first. Both guys are the supposed leaders on this team, and their message is clearly lost on the rest of the guys.

I'm not saying it means anything. Just saying it was started under Nolan. You can say that means nothing because the fans started it. At the same time I can say a stupid marketing ploy means nothing either.

You really like to argue about pointless stuff

I think Vanek needs to go first.. his lazyness is just completely useless... the only reason why he is on this team is to score points.. and he can't even do that right...

At least Pommer is a two way player and Miller is a top notch goalie when on his game which he hasn't been for a few weeks now.

Pommer and Miller serve other purposes on this team.. Vanek is a waste of 7.1M when lazy and just awful.

umm maybe its just me (i doubt it) or maybe i dont watch enough sabres games but it seems to me that Ryan Miller is ALWAYS having a crappy night, this guy literally seems like the most miserable millionaire in sports

Pegula has made a career out of improving people's performance by empowering them and giving more resources to work with. I don't blame him for thinking it would work with Regier and Ruff. However, I do think he needs to learn that pro sports doesn't work that way. He tried, failed, and needs a new approach.
