kassian appears to not be very good. that was a GREAT trade.

kassian will end up turning into a kaleta type player to stay in the nhl, methinks.

Yea maybe if they feed him a case of redbull before every game.

It's simple

Hasek got further with less talent than Miller has with more

Hey....

you guys remember when you were all pissed off about Buffalo losing Dineen to Florida because he should have been Ruff's replacement.... Dineen was such a good coach because of what he did in Florida last year...

ohhh.. Good times.

I love it how no one realizes that Kaleta was benched as further punishment because Rolston wants to make it known that he doens't like Goon hockey and that he doesn't allow his players to take cheap shots... That 5 minute major costed us that game.. it gave them two PP goals to tie it up and took all of our momentum.

I love Kaleta... and I was mad too.. but there is a reason for it.... and if I was Kaleta I would be pissed too because the hit was very borderline cheap.. and he already served a 5 game suspension...

Gotta be held accountable.

- JVince11

umm, I think everybody realizes that's the reason. Still, this team is better with Kaleta in the lineup than not, so in essence, isn't Rolston continuing to hurt the team?

I don't care about the past...we can't go back and replay games from years ago.

Miller is not showing any capability of making this team play better. His various tirades are not causing this team to give a better effort.

Would this team be worse off without him...immediately, yes.

But he will be gone in another year or two anyways, so get what you can right now.

Hasek was miles better than Miller is, and made a bad team look better than it was. If you take Hasek out of the equation, and we're talking a Bills-type of span in terms of consecutive years not making the playoffs. That's why I cringe whenever people refer to "the hardest working team in hockey" and the Ted Nolan days (of which the monicker never actually came about until Ruff was hired, but that's beside the point) with any sort of fondness. Their shortcomings weren't masked by effort. They were masked by the best goaltender on the planet at the time.

The team was in the basement of the standings with Kaleta, and they remained there without it. He's really a non-factor, as is the entire bottom 6. It's what happens when your top 6 isn't very good.

And what will an angry Kaleta look like if he gets back in ? IMO this just makes him worst.Understand what Rolstons trying to do but hes not dealing with boys and he needs to first gain thier respect.

They've been hammering this team and their management for weeks. What more do you want them to say? I'm tired of hammering them as well but at least I can go do other things. I can't imagine having to talk about them day in and day out.

The Miller hate baffles me. Can you imagine standing back there night in and night out watching this train wreck from the first row? We have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. People seem to want it both days - we get mad that nobody seems to show any passion and then we get mad when they do. At least he stands there night after night and takes questions. I can't believe he doesn't let off some steam more often.

Actually I was referring to the fact that if you turn on 550am there's no radio happening. Apparently it is still streaming online, but not via the actual radio station.

Still no cup, am I correct? all that other crap means nothing. Cups are all that matters and we have none, with or without Hasek and Miller.

Kaleta is 10x better on the ice than Gerbe is at this point....

I will give Hecht credit that he is not horrible to be on the ice for defensive skills.. but if we want to score... than we either need to have Hecht OR Porter.... but not both...

It'd be so nice to have a third center who is known to score a ton of points.. .poop.. maybe someone who is young and needs to learn on the fly.. perhaps a center of the future if you will.... now where could we find one of those..

It was the first season under coach Ted Nolan and the last for the Sabres at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. Nolan brought an exciting brand of hockey to Buffalo. During his coaching tenure, Buffalo was referred to as the "hardest-working team in hockey"
