Despres is solid. I'm not saying he's a bad player. But Despres would not fix Flyers woes. They're in the market for a more proven d-man. Campbell and Bouwmeester are much more likely. Also, Flyers would never make a Talbot/Despres swap. They covet Talbot, despite what some fans may think.

I'm not saying the Flyers/Pens are going to make a trade, but there is absolutely no way the Flyers would turn down a Despres for Talbot trade. Puck moving Dmen are very valuable in the NHL. Even if they didn't feel they needed him, they could turn around and flip him for much more than what they could get for Talbot in a trade. But no way in hell the Pens would offer that trade in the first place, so I guess no use in arguing about it.

Despres would instantly be Phillys #2 Dman, never going to happen. Screw Talbot.

There's a reason Despres hasn't been moved yet.

He's unproven and he won't fetch much of a return. Maybe a 3rd round pick or a 3rd-4th liner.

Take your Flyer glasses off. There are alot of GMs out there who would pay alot for Depres.

He has a rare combination of size and speed, is a 2 way defenseman, and is ONLY 21.

He will be a top 2 defenseman in this league in a few years if not sooner. And IF the Pens were to trade him, they will get a good return, not a 3rd rd pick or a
3rd or 4th liner.

solid attempt at a joke Eklund; I would say Oduya is a helluva lot less 'Swedish' than Grossman though.

But thanks.
