The ONLY reason I could see Detroit going after any sort of goaltender would be to back up Howard. That being said, Schneider has a $4,000,000 cap hit, and I highly doubt the Wings are willing to pay someone $4,000,000 to sit on the bench. Howard has proven that he can compete with the best of them, and he has shown that he can steal a big game when he needs to, like in the playoffs for example.

Ek... please stop.

Talbot is never EVER coming back to the Pens. Dude is getting paid 8 million dollars a year to be a third line player .

He gets 8 mil? And Homer still is employed?

Factually, an over payment is only way I see this happening and Shero is too smart for that.

Ill take whatever this guy is smoking...... Talbot got an $8 million CONTRACT. that means he gets paid $8 over the LIFE OF THE CONTRACT. he actually makes less than 2 million dollars per year.

1.75m a season for a third line winger is not a bad contract at all

He may have been trying to be funny, I doubt it but i guess its possible. But I know for a fact that he certainly wasnt succeeding at being funny.

Just out of pure curiosity and not reality, what kind of return would the flyers get from Pitt for talbot?
- TypicalCat18

I would say a 4th if the Flyers are willing to take on some of the cap hit over the duration of the deal but I don't see a way the Pens actually want him back..... The entire reason he signed in Philly was due to the fact the Penguins refused to go as high as they did in salary. It would be idiotic to now trade a pick for a guy who is going to negatively affect your cap situation in the slightest when you need to resign Letang and Malkin and Sutter down the road.

Judging by this post, I'm going to assume you don't know what that word actually means.

You might want to start a new rumor blog. I think the sabres are gearing up to join the AHL next year.

He'd be a 4th liner on the Pens. Upgrade of Glass on the 4th.....which isn't hard to do. I really doubt they want Talbot for 3 more years.

Love the sarcasm. What straight blooded North American male would kick her out of bed for eating crackers? None that I know

Depends on the crackers. If she ate my cheesitz I'd snap her neck like a (frank)ing chicken...but I'd probably let her stay in bed for a short while.

Aren't rumblings & rumours when you cut it down to size, the same thing? Look at em both in a sentence:

There are rumblings that the Leafs are interested in Ryan Clowe.
There are rumours that the Leafs are interested in Ryan Clowe.

Neither mean that a deal is imminent. They mean the same thing me thinks.
