Now Ryan Miller's shredding Patrick Kaleta...holy moly, you couldn't be more clearly asking for a trade unless you wore a shirt that said "Hey, Trade Me!" and walked around saying "Trade me right (frank)ing now!!"

Two different players.

Yandle is exactly the type of player the Flyers need on this blueline.

i'll be furious, unless it's briere for bouwmeester
- FlyerMike18

I wouldn't be furious, unless it was for Couturier or Schenn.

I'd be willing to do a Read led deal, so long as it wasn't much more than Read

He could be. Of course if they trade for Bouwmeester, he won't be.
- Jsaquella

I will be very disappointed if that happens. Unless they don't overpay and Calgary gives him away.

My sole issue with Bouwmeester is his cap hit. If he was making $5mm or so, he'd be a great add. I'd want a deal where the Flames kept some of the cap hit.

How many teams are even looking for starting goalies? Seems like the demand is fairly low.

It is. I doubt he'd be moveable during the season. But in the summer, maybe the Caps. If Brodeur retires, maybe the Devils.

fair enough, i'm just really not a fan of bouwmeester. as i said before, i'd take him, but i wouldn't really be willing to pay much in terms of traded assets. i'm a bigger fan of yandle, even aside from the contract issues

I wouldn't call trading Couturier "buying low"
- Jsaquella

Did we buy low for Schenn with the 2nd over all pick talent when Schenn was a healtthy scratch at times the year before we got him?

I guess my point is that if you want a Dman with top 5 draft talent, uu need to give up a top 5 forward talent. We like SC, but he is inly potential. Any dman who has made the comlete transfirmation is then 100% not available (OEL, Alex P., ec)

Buffalo is a mess and its going to take time to turn over that roster. I think Miller's time there has run its course. It seems like he is ready to move on with his career elsewhere.

You can say 2nd overall all you like. JVR was given every opportunity here to succeed and he played himself onto the 3rd line many times. Schenn went 5th overall. Fair, if somewhat odd deal.

Schenn has had ups and downs, though. Myers has been a little bit worse each year since his rookie season.

If Myers had a great rookie year, followed by a dreadful second year, then rebounded in the third year, Id be more open to trading for him.

It's the steady progression where each season sees a decline that worries me.

Criticized Kaleta for being upset about being a healthy scratch. Said that he made a stupid play and needs to grow up.

Granted, it's Kaleta, but a guy who is a team leader saying that kind of stuff publicly is never a good thing.

4. White
5. Babchuk
6. Smid
7. Corvo
8. Whitney
9. Gonchar
10. Zidlicky

Buffalo in general is a mess, hell golden child Miller is now on the way out.

A change of scenery could be the key. JVR playing better in TO then here, and Schenn is paying than any year but his rookie.

Not really two different players. Both are offensive puck moving defenseman. Yandle is more dynamic offensively. But Carle is better defensively. Those that didn't like Carle for his lack of physical play, really won't like Yandle.

The Flyers have enough guys who cant skate and that are defensive defenseman. They need a player like Yandle.
