Problem is Myers has a huge contract and I'd still an unknown quantity. That's huge
- Just5

It's in the 5.5 range, which is the going rate for a top 4 guy these days. If it doesn't work out, he's a little over paid. If he hits the potential everyone was clamoring about last year, its a deal in a few years.

Also, if he doesn't work out, you've traded Couturier for a big, over paid stiff

Healthy scratch for a couple of games this season. Dude is a fraud. As stated he hasn't improved at all. He's getting worse each year.

It's in the JVR-Schenn class. D have peaks and valleys early. The only way you get a guy like this is when he's down. Would you do SC for Bogo? He's just starting to live up to his draft spot.

Laughton, Wellwood, Heeter, Cousins, etc.

The future is bright.

Great, two guys that project as 3rd liners, one who projects as a 4th and a goalie that projects as an AHL starter...WHOOOOT

Nope. If I'm trading a 20 year old kid I want someone who is proven but still young (24-26 years old).

bogo is not going anywhere. if there was ever a window of opp, my guess is that it's closed. the kid's on his way.

Or he turns into a large #1 for a reasonable cap hit for a 20 goal 3rd line center? We all ride high in SC, but isn't that a possibility also?

Not giving up on him at all. We have a glaring hole. Would you go back and take Hamilton instead?

It is, but considering that Myers isn't really having ups and downs, but more of a somewhat continuous decline since his excellent rookie season, it makes me worry. His rookie season, he looked like he was going to be a super star, had a very solid second year, but not quite as good, while last year he was up and down and had some injuries. Now this year, he's a wreck.

To me he's a bit suspect. The risk is too high, for me.

Also, I think they need a more mobile guy than Myers. They have good size in Coburn, Meszaros and Schenn. would rather have a Yandle than Myers right now.

Nope. We had Pronger at the time and just lost Richards and Carter.

I'm not opposed to moving Coots, but I need to see the defenseman coming back be able to play solid defense. Jonesy and Milbury just ripped him tonight for still making rookie errors.

Unfortunately Wellwood lacks his brother's hands. I'd guess he's pretty much show he'll be a speedy depth forward.

There's time for Cousins, Laughton and Heeter to become more, but the fact is they all project as role players. Nothing wrong there, you need those kind of players.

Yandle us def better right now, I think TM has the greater potential to be a #1. You have to buy low on those guys unless you draft early/well.

He could be. Of course if they trade for Bouwmeester, he won't be.
