we still need a little more grit, IMO.....Dustin Brown would be a match made in heaven here, IMO

I think we need another stay at home D-man, yes

and we also need more goal scoring....plenty of needs on this team

of course, this is all just my opinion

We have a stay at home Dman in Rochester.

thats awesome....thanks for sharing that....I think, even though we would almost have too many centers at that point, you take Mackinnon and dont look back!!! he could be our Crosby (who I have heard him compared too)

Hodge, Mackinnon and Grigs as top 3 centers!!!!!!! whoooo!!!!!!

move Ennis back to wing or trade him for extra parts

also, I think I heard that Girgensons is playing stickly winger in Rochester....

ESPN's proposed top 3 Draft selections pleases me greatly.

true....exactly!!! just like you can never have enough pitchers in baseball

so we could still have Girgs and Ennis play C in a pinch in that scenario....

Only one problem. If we fall to number 2 I think Florida selects the young Center at number one.You typically take the best player at number one and imo defenseman dont trump centers on any draft board.

It's true. While I think Drouin is seriously talented it's MacKinnon or go home for me.

Buffalo should try to trade Miller to Tampa for their 1st rounder. How amazing would that be if it happened.

If we end up the worst team in the league or the next to worst team in the league the worst we can fall to is number 3 in the draft right and still have a chance at number one ?

? Id like to see them trade Miller to Washington for Holtby and his new contract and maybe a number 2.

I dunno, if the standings stay the same this is pretty plausible. Seth Jones has been the overwhelming favorite to be picked 1st for a while. Not sure any team could go wrong picking him... I still want MacKinnon though.

I dont see much of him but i see more of drouin on the highlights not that d or usually involved in the high lights but to my drouin is the most dynamic player in the drafy jones even at the wjc made stupod mistakes not saying he isnt a top prospect i just dont get why he is number one over drouin other then size and for me it has nothing to do with me wanting the canadian to be first even if they both were canadian i would feel this way but i guess it depends on team needs

Like I said haha, this draft class is so freaking deep you really can't go wrong with a lot of these guys. Which is why Buffalo should try to get 2 Top 5 picks by any means possible (assuming they are reasonable)

So we end up with a top 3 and possible mid 1st rounder at the draft. You really think that turns this team around ? This team needs a hell of a lot more than that. We got 2 great prospects last draft. And even those guys are still 1-2 seasons away from being regulars on the team.

If we are able to get that D man Jones, he could help out tremendously (if he is that good). Look what Myers was able to do when he was our best dman 2 or 3 years ago, Miller Vezina.

I'm not looking for instant gratification at this point. We need to be smarter and look more towards long term success rather than a few years of losing in the first round of the playoffs and then another few years in the basement. I'd rather have a crappy team for the next 2-3 years if it meant we'd have a dominant one for the next 5-7 years after that.

It would be an honest mistake to let Drouin go. He is the best player in the draft. We have Hodgson, Ennis, Grigorenko, Girgensens, Catenacci. We dont have any top level scoring wingers outside of Armia. We have the assets to get another 1st round pick and grab one of the other talented centers in the draft.

Moving Brennan for a 5 smells of something more sinister. I don't believe Darcy is that stupid. Wait a minute, oh yeah he really is a bumbling idiot. Yet, the real crime is Sabres ownership and el presidente failing to see the forest for the trees. The good news is Lindy's gone. Next, let the axe fall on cryin Ryan, and our wimpy captain. Then, Darcy. Bring in Duds and Roy and we'll be on the mend in a big way.
