Okay so it's quite obvious that Rolston won't keep his job in Buffalo. So at this point I'd say it's time we talk about something that for some reason we never seem to discuss.
Who does everyone want to take over at the head coaching postion next year?
I vote for Jon Cooper. |

Dallas Eakins/Phil Housley would be my top 2 choices but it all depends on who the new GM is. |

Housley would certainly be a popular vote among the fans but my issue is that other than the World Juniors this past year he doesn't exactly have a proven track record.
Eakins I wouldn't have as many issues with, but I still prefer Cooper coming from the AHL. |

Not close to being worth the 5.5 million dollar salary. - LetsGoBuffalo75
I'm with you. I do not want that player for that contract on this team till 2016/17.
5.5 mill per till 2016/17 . That's a big NO THANK YOU!

-17 in the 2nd period. That's staggering! |

It's all on Pegula now. Is he going to treat this team like a toy? A side project? Because that's what he's doing right now. Every day with Darcy as GM is another day wasted for this team. Another day wasted for us loyal fans.
Pegula seems like a great guy and obviously he has deep pockets, but that doesn't make him a great owner. This mess falls at his feet, plain and simple.

Despite the denials of GM Darcy Regier, league sources confirmed to QMI Agency Saturday the Sabres are indeed ready to "blow it up" and pretty much every player on their roster is available before the April 3 trade deadline.
Sources say the Sabres aren't going to move high-scoring winger Thomas Vanek or top prospects Marcus Foligno ,Cody Hodgson or Alexander Sulzer. Nobody would take Tyler Myers' contract, but every player is up for discussion.

Glad Grigs said that, hopefully Pegula & Black can see that this hockey department is a mess!
I heard Regier was working on the Brennan trade and they needed to do the Grigorenko move as a panic move because of not having room for Leino, because the Brennan trade was not moving forward.
This is the NHL boys, not XBox! I heard Regier was working for the Denver Broncos this week!!! Fax Machine |

If the Sabres are willing to blow it up, why wouldn't they be willing to trade Vanek? |

my guess is they want a proven vet to help with the rebuilding |

we still need a little more grit, IMO.....Dustin Brown would be a match made in heaven here, IMO
I think we need another stay at home D-man, yes
and we also need more goal scoring....plenty of needs on this team
of course, this is all just my opinion |

Housley? Can we please stop bringing back ex Sabres.
I wonder what Rob Ray would think about that. He has made no secret that he considers Housley to be the biggest pos he ever played with. He hates him |

disagree. Any player at this point in their career that hasn't won a Cup, that would rather stay for a paycheck as opposed to leaving for a chance to win is a loser. I have no interest in those players. |

thats awesome....thanks for sharing that....I think, even though we would almost have too many centers at that point, you take Mackinnon and dont look back!!! he could be our Crosby (who I have heard him compared too)
Hodge, Mackinnon and Grigs as top 3 centers!!!!!!! whoooo!!!!!!
move Ennis back to wing or trade him for extra parts
also, I think I heard that Girgensons is playing stickly winger in Rochester.... |
