strome is not going to play the 3rd line cetner...it was already said, when he plays he will be top 6 - LetsGoIsles
Maybe...if Seguin and Couturier can play fourth-line center, Strome can probably play third line until he outplays Nielsen for second line. And if Cappy's still the coach, I can't see him breaking up the flawed line that he seems to have absolutely fallen in love with. Also, talent- and potential-wise, I actually like my third line better than my second, so it's really just how it's written on paper. if that third line outscores that second line, hopefully they'd get more minutes...although...again...Cappy... |

Assuming Perry is way out of our range, I wouldn't mind going into next year like this....I think Horton can be had cheap as he's having a bit of a down year and coming off a $4.5 mil contract. His combination of size and ability make him a nice match for Tavares and Moulson. It would also give us three decent sized forwards on lines one through 3 for defenses to contend with.

I'm left handed and switched to right wing and had no issues..and i wasnt a nhl caliber player..it can be done..but nino on the second line would add some nice size and skill - NYI78
To be honest... I'm a right shot and have always played the off wing.
It's just what you're used too.
I found it better for coming down the wing and taking shots.... better angles.
It felt weird playing RW. |

It will be the same line up next year as it is this year if we are still in Nassau. |

Same here...played both wings but always preferred the off-wing. Not like I was ever much of a threat either way... |

I've played both but definitely (as a righty) prefer the right side for the sake of picking the puck off the boards, sending it cross ice fast not to mention being in position to face a defender faster. As a dman I preferred the right side too. |

Personally I would love to have Horton but in your scenario I think it would be Boyes and not Grabner on the 2nd line. Now that might work. |

Former first rounder is a big + - Cptmjl
He should send out a memo in like the NHL news:
Are you a former number one pick and could not crack a line up in the NHL??
Are you from Boston Massachussetts?
Are you over 35 and want to relive the glory days???
Are you sick of teams passing on you over and over and over again??
Have no fear!! The Islanders are here to give you a job. We promise that no matter how bad you are you will see top minutes to regain that glory.
Please fax resume to Garth Snow at 1-800-ISLES and lets see if we can work out a deal.
PS: You will get signed for below the minimium as we are trying to not reach the cap floor |

Good point, I took Boyes out and completely forgot about hIm! Instead I eliminated Bailey completely....

I think the 'resigning' of Boyes makes the Horton addition very unlikely. |
